Honestly I loved it, but I gotta it that it's truly all over the place. Throughout the series the groundwork to some sort of grand scheme is being laid, but at the end none of it comes together and everything seems trivial and oversimplified.
I found the most enjoyable parts were the flashbacks, which makes me long for several more volumes further delving into each individual character's past lives.
My favorite thing was Shion's chapters where he's NTRing Gyokuran every 3 pages. I could die happy if I got to see Shinpachi's face after hearing the news that Run impregnated Alice
This manga is really original and good. I can get why it inspired so many.
The art is clean and so pretty, really pretty. I would read it even just for the artwork. Its a real pity the author change it in the sequel.
What I wish I knew before reading this manga, its that PSME is not really about these scientist or anything in particular but about Arisu and Rin. While we get to know every scientist and their present self point of view and a little of every one, its a shame they got not development or they dont show as much as I expected.
I don't really see the point of Tamura's or the ESP brothers need on the plot. The brothers were good characters, but I have live withouth them.
Charracters, originality, the artwork, the scientist plot and character development... Worth reading it.
One of my all-time favourites, I don't need to go into too much detail but this manga will keep you reading due to the mystery of the past lives, and the destructive personality of Rin. Super involved, great characters, romance and moral premises, love love love. Could read it over and over.
I was somehow intrigue by it's categories, but even though I saw this being recommended a couple of times I didn't tried the story yet. But when I read the first volume in my library I was hooked already, A lot has happened in just a chapter, and it would get you thrilled of what will happen next.
I especially love Rin, he's a cunning yet lonely character, his counterpart- Shion is also incredible, you'll get to understand the story more when the past unravels one by one.
The characters were just amazing, I could relate to them and could understand the reasons behind their actions and choices. And the antagonists who I once wish to be killed earlier(and even now) also showed consistency. I love it how they had cleared up their feelings that dwells from past-- to present.
The art was very neat, and exceptional. It can't be compared to PSME2 because of how I cling back to their former appearances while reading the sequel on the process. (I still miss how Rin's cold eyes look at Arisu)
And the overall plot is great! A lot of mystery and suspense action sci-fi you'll see in the story. You'll never get bored.
This by far is one of the best mangas I have even read, at first I seriously though of dropping it because There was just alot that I didn't understand and get. But later as the story goes it reveals lots of surprising events that make You get the picture. I think that the story is quite unexpected which added to the charm , also it keeps you in suspense at All time, its just amazing. I highly recommend this manga.
The main characters, Mokuren and Shion, are strongly portrayed. The author shows why they do what they do. At first readers are kept in the dark along with the side characters. Slowly the actions of the characters all make sense to the reader as newer chapters reveal the different sides. Even when intentions are clear to the reader, characters in the story are still judging other characters. It's more complex than an unjustified hate group in a story, like the typical gang of jealous girls, which actually appeared in this story (Mangaka handled this pretty well but could have done better). The mangaka clearly justifies why characters dislike or feel threatened by another and thus act out on what they believe.
By revealing the motives of the characters the way the mangaka did, the characters become complex and have substance as a person. The mangaka doesn't tell you who the person is, like in most overly simple characters in shoujo and shounen genre. because of this I became fond of Shion, Mokuren, and Rin. I can't say the same for Alice since her portrayal remained pretty weak, but she was amusing. Maybe the author found no reason to explore her fully since the story was more about the past and the struggle Rin has because of the past.
2 days...2 intensive days... and 12 volumes later.. i've finished it... FINALLY!
i can't say i didn't foresee the ending, or that it was a horrible one either...cause it was just .. right for the story...
But what i do can say, is that this one it's by FAR the longest manga that i've EVER read!, and that i don't regret have spend time reading it...
It's complex.. yeah...
Repetitive... yeah...
extreeeemly long.. yeah!
Would i read it again?.......without even thinking about it 🙂 ...
If u have the time u would realize all that this story has to offer, and the multiples atempts to understand how the heart or even the mind of humans works... cause this is just a story about humans trying to understand humans... is as simple and profound as that...

Let me say this, I truly and honestly really loved this series. With that being said, there were parts of the manga I could have done without. I thought that the addition of some of the human characters in the Present were unnecessary. Of course I realize they were probably added because the main characters and some of the ing had their limits. But it was incredibly boring to read those parts, but obviously I managed.
It was a shame that more of the past was not explained. It just felt that there were holes missing to the overall story and the plot was not planned out very well. Though, there were gut wrenching parts that made me love this series.
I've noticed the progression of artwork from Please Save My Earth to Global Garden to Boku wo Tsutsumu Tsuki no Hikari (PSME 2). The artwork is fantastic in PSME, but for some reason the artwork in GG and PSME 2 cannot compare. Maybe she just had some great assistants to help her along the way. Anyways, I put off this series for so long because I'm not into manga that's about teenagers anymore. And I seriously regret not reading this years earlier.
Honestly, I didn't intend to read this. I was just interested in the reincarnation thing. But it got me hooked before the first two chapters ended, something that never happened with kanata kara (which is dragging on too long for me making me read this series), or any other 'before-90's-scifi-manga'. I can't wait to finish it and see how the whole thing unravels. I think 12 volumes is too short but oh well. ^_^
Edit" I just finished it and I must it it was one fo the best ever. seriously. like the past played a big role, it was revealed one by one yet it made sense, Shion was such a pitiful character. Mokuren was a great character who affected all of them. Ahh simply great

Don't let the artwork turn you off. I was wondering if it was really good when I heard people sung praises about this manga. So I decided to try it out and it was GOOD!! The beginning art was very old art (as you can see), but it improved by the time it reached the middle and the storyline doesn't help 'cause it made me fell in love with the manga even more.
The story is about your typical a 13-year-old student, Alice, who lives nearby a 7-year old young neighbor Rin. Rin always tease Alice whenever he sees her she hates it. At school, she stumbled upon the two boys, which she had a misunderstanding of the relationship and fled. Later on, she met them again when she was at the zoo with Rin, whom she was asked to babysit for the day. As the two guys cleared up the misunderstanding, it turns out that they both have the same dreams. They even say that they have a deja-vu with Alice. Back at home, Rin angrily said he also have a deja-vu with Alice and asked if she was going to marry one of the boys. Testing to see if Rin was jealous, she said yes and in response, Rin dropped what they bought earlier at the zoo from the balcony. She then slaps him, which lead to him to tip over and fell off the balcony. From there, the story starts to unfold upon Rin's mysterious power and the mystery of 7 people's past; their connections and relationships; the dark truth; and the ending twists that shocks all of them.
The overwhelming emotions I had when reading this manga was powerful enough to make me semi-cry. The character development is strong and slowly we learn about the 7 reincarnated's past and the truth of what really happen. The story helps take it further with its twists as it uncovers the truths.
I really enjoyed this series and I glad I picked it up. It should be a classic that everyone should try reading and see how touching this manga series could be.
