I think people are overreacting to the Aka thing. I see people throw the term NTR around a little too frequently when they see a character do something they don't like. Yeah, she was gonna give a pity fuck to the guy who saved her, but she wasn't being taken away from Matsumaru. She was thinking about him the entire time and that's why the guy didn't go through with having sex with her. Yeah she made a mistake and would have technically been cheating, but that's all it was. She was not the victim of NTR.

Chapter 24 completely ruined the whole series. I don't care if she didn't go through with it. She let that guy fondle her sexually and would have put up no resistance if he had gone further. That was cheating. She showed no regret or remorse afterward and continued on with her same cheery se ...
Great said. And thats not even all, she was already showing signs and acting irritantingly before. That unexcusable cheat and the follow up is just the epitome.

Grow up kids! Get ready for the fact that the girl you settle down with will probably have had multiple men before you, and will probably cheat on you at some point in your relationship, at least once.
I am amazed at how scared you are of this. I've seen "NTR" panic ruin several great manga scanlations. Apparently the scanlators drop them in response to the panic.

Ok let me write some more crap (after a month or so) of why this can be very upsetting:
- you are already getting irritating for the MC putting up with his gf being in a bath with another man, but you drag on for over 3 volumes iirc
- because you don't think that, even after all the conversations of his gf telling him he shouldn't be so insecure
- that she goes and backstabs him
- which he never even knows
- and in the end they live happily ever after
It's frustrating because that's straight up REALITY, it kills your dream lol. If you kept reading for the romance, then you chose to believe, so you feel betrayed just like the male lead would if he actually ever knew. You seriously are not a man if you think this is ok...
Which is probably the intention of the author. REC, with a voice actress female lead seems to have some share of female audience, or even effeminate male audience, so combined with the fact that apparently the author already like netorare, it resulted with him doing this in a very sudden and annoying form. Still a fine experience and I'm just glad it happened in "early" volumes rather than in volume 10, now that would have been savage lol.

I'll take a look.
from reading the synopsis it looks like the MC gets what he deserves for assuming he's in a relationship with someone in a forced habitation situation
there's a lot of wisdom for not starting your relationships from unequal situations

assuming? they were already long officially in an agreed relationship
with someone in a forced habitation situation
that was the start, they officially dated only long after that, so that isn't really true
I think people are overreacting to the Aka thing.
No, they are normal reactions.
I see people throw the term NTR around a little too frequently when they see a character do something they don't like.
Well, it's not NTR because the guy didn't want to finish it. Which is even worse.
Yeah, she was gonna give a pity fuck to the guy who saved her,
No, she betrayed her boyfriend behind his back with a good-looking famous actor. Who made some bullshit story which she wanted to believe because he's a good-looking famous actor, only for him to say it was a lie later. Which she didn't really wanted to know. Saved her from fucking what? He put her in that trouble in the 1st place.
but she wasn't being taken away from Matsumaru.
Because the guy didn't want. If she was actually taken it wouldn't have been so bad. The good-looking famous actor didn't want her in the end, so she stayed with Matsumaru.
She was thinking about him the entire time
Yea that's why she barely resisted like she always resists her bf. That's why she was feeling pleasure. That's why she opened her legs easily. That's why she was surprised and asked "what's going on?" when the guy decided to stop...
and that's why the guy didn't go through with having sex with her.
No, it's because he noticed she wasn't really worth it.
Yeah she made a mistake and would have technically been cheating,
Mistakes are things you regret, not cheats cretins do to deceive people who trust you behind their back.
She was not the victim of NTR.
Yup, the bitch isn't the victim of anything. The cuck (her boyfriend) was and he doesn't even know. But I guess he had it coming for accepting that episode of the trip with the director.

labeling this as 'NTR panic' is apt
whiners conveniently gloss over complex emotions for character motivations
how anyone can come to the conclusion that Aka is some sort of industry opportunist is beyond me.
whatever her indecisiveness, it can be chalked up to overwhelming guilt(for emotionally scarring a fat kid & later, literally scarring a beautiful idol) as well as duty to her anonymous childhood friend who kept her together when times were tough.
and as a cherry on top; that declaration of love was pretty nice a girl could do worse.

I've wrote and wrote so much here, which is why I ended up editing away some of the huge walls of texts. I had never thought about a manga this much.
I'll come back here if I re-read this manga from the start. Or something.

Looking back, that's exactly what she is. An opportunist. And a cheater.
