Since Movie 17 hasn't been subbed yet, I thought I should just watch Movie 16 first. Not sure if it is all right to start a topic in the manga forum but here goes... 524j5c
I'm only about 11 minutes in and they have SMARTPHONES NOOOOWWWWW. Made me laugh that the characters remained at that age throughout the evolution of cell phones from their flips to smart phones 😲
And this is why the movies are non-canon. They're still using flip phones in the latest manga chapters lol.
edit: nvm, conan and ai still have a smartphone but not the rest of the kids.

Yep, the kids still use their flip phones. Don't think they should spoil the kids and get them smartphones anyway... But imagine Conan being able to have internet access 3G/4Gwhatever and such with his smart phones when stranded. There goes those cases where there's no reception due to bad weather etc.
I haven't seen other movies yet, but this movie seems to be a bit lacking in of suspense and mystery 😔 Some of the scenes try way too hard to make it look 3D, which would be nice in theatre but not on laptop screen. Sighs.
Try the 6th movie. That was one of the better ones imo.

I finished the movie just now and
that was so shit I prefer cases targeting specific murders for specific people rather than mass terrorist attack, etc.

regarding the cellphone evolution, conan actually uses pocket pagers (aka pocket bells) in some really old chapters/episodes lol
