What exactly is the deal with the slow release of Bastard!!? Volume 16 doesn't come out till Jan while 17 and onward is nowhere in sight.... It's a pain to see new licenses and more constant releases for other series that don't really compare IMO.

Wait what's wrong with Dr. Master? As far as I know they've finished all the series they've licensed so far, albeit at a pretty slow pace, but they completely announce the number volumes for each of their series, and when the next volume is coming out.

pfftt... I want a guarantee it'll 1) be completed 2) be done w/in two years. They've got a bad habit of milking releases. Most of the companies do.

But, then again, I loathe Viz more than even ADV. More than TokyoPop, altho TokyoPop takes a strong second.

Don't read any of the titles listed except Rosaio so it doesn't affect me much. Kinda surprised that was licensed. I didn't think it was that great of a read in the first place. Kinda glad/disappointed Mx0 hasn't been though.

that's prolly because you stopped reading after the first 2 volumes or even sooner, if I'm not terrible mistaken the realy fun and interesting/cool part of rosario vamp starts with the 3rd volume.

@ viz: I'm glad they licensed those titles, but a pity it wasn't licensed by another group since viz is so~ slow~

I've kept up with the series for the most part in of scanlations. Generally I read it because there wasn't much else to read at the time. Rosario just hasn't really clicked with me. I get the feeling that it's improved since the beginning but it isn't something I feel excited over.

Agreed on the Viz observation. I when I used to collect X/1999. Waiting on releases from viz was like waiting for rain in a desert.

X is in hiatus in Japan, which is why Viz is on hiatus with it. Current events had made the CLAMP people rethink certain future events (e.g. serial murders involving juvenile offenders and earthquakes were resembling some of X's plots)

I heard about that a while back. I stopped long before that though. I don't quite what volume I stopped at but I do recall that Viz was still in the low single digits while the Japanese compilations were going into their teens already. Of course every company was just as slow back then (i.e.-Dark Horse) but Viz has been slow to improve the speed of their releases.
