Another thing I wanted to do is a picture search engine. Where you can a pic of anything like maybe a dress scrawled in paint or scanned in and by picture comparison, any resembling picture and its source and info would turn up. I heard there is something close to it. But its like, even if you an unknown celeb's face, you can get his/her name, but this gives rise to some privacy breaches but then again you can find people with their name and date of birth or some personal info you might have about them, like maybe the town they stay in etc
This already exists. Take a look, for example, on http://tineye.com or http://www.picscout.com. Very good idea, indeed.

In short, i would take facebook and myspace and mash it together, but make it avatar based like yoville and habbo hotel.
Thanks for this entry. I wouldn't say the number of competitors is low (take a look on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites to see what I mean), but there is sure a possible progression.
Also, note that unlimited Internet possibilities doesn't mean unlimited engineering power. Things like Twitter are interesting : efficient, clean, low cost (small team)... That's the direction I'm also looking for.
The mix between Facebook & Myspace is very interesting, indeed, but I fear I lack one or two hundred of millions 🙂

It's easy. I'd just sell junk of it. Since, it's unlimited, my clients will get more space and better speed than competitors and I'd have infinite resources. So yeah, a hosting service....

It searches for an existent picture - it isnt actually intelligent enough to compare two images which might for example be different views of the same dress. However, this would need a high end image recognition software embedded and I would be surprised if something like that was free like google...at least not for the next 10 years ..
