It was either Robotech or Yamato Takeru...I still the ending song of Yamato Takeru -> "Rain" by Glay... 😀 536n1e

And I don't like Old Sckool anime art either... Not that I hate it... I don't prefer... I can watch the New Flash Kicker Series than Captain Tsubasa....

Probably doraemon; though I dont watching much of it...
having watched it really young probably, it explains a lot of why i can certain things about it and certain episodes vaguely...

another one i came across as a kid was "kimba the white lion":i thinking, ooh, that's just like the lion king, I love the lion king (so that must have been around 1996)

I also following "cooking master boy" <3 totally fell in love with the big manly character as a kid, and the girl was pretty... (watched in chinese, had me going back to thinking in chinese for a while, till i stopped watching it)

then of course there was the more mainstream stuff like hello kitty, dragonball, sailormoon...

At around the same time i discovered that all the similar shows that i loved weren't just cartoons but "anime" after which I watched and followed a lot of anime on tv till the channels were cut and then i stopped watching for many years...

(wow i'm so tired I babbled... i guess thats what an hour's worth of sleep does to you... returns to studying)

Must have been when I was 5 years old, watched Dragonball Z on TV and followed a good deal of the episodes after which I didn't watch anime for a loooong while (At the time I didn't know what anime was.)

Eventually I went back to anime with Yu Yu hakusho and Cowboy Bebop and started to follow anime each season on a regular basis 3 years ago. 😁

I'm not sure if it was Sailor Moon or DragonBall Z. If I think really hard I suppose it was Sailor Moon, but it was in italian or english or something I didn't understand at the time. Afterwards I saw both of them in romanian(my native language), but I had no idea that they were animes or what the term of "anime" meant. The animes meant a lot for me, and they really helped me. I learnt french thanks to Cardcaptor Sakura and Yuugi Oh, I mean in less than two years, I knew enough to understand what they were seeing on M6, I knew to read, write, grammar, I was really way above the level of all my classmates, but my single reason was to understand the darn amines. And after all these years I still can give them up, about a years ago I started reading manga, and know…well…just check up my lists.

Voltron and Touch. I think they were both originally aired 1984/1985 so they are probably the oldest japanese animations I've seen. Voltron I used to be crazy about when I was around 8 years old but I have no idea how much of it I've seen. As for Touch I saw that 2-3 years ago. Adachi is great, too bad he's a one trick pony though.

Mine was Lulu the Flower Angel. It was from 1979.

Not sure whether Doraemon anime is older though.

The oldest I've seen is the original Gundam. After that, it would be the original Dr. Slump, first season. Can't seem to find any of the other seasons anymore, not even in HK bootleg.

I can't the oldest one because I was so young when I watched it. But it looked like an old style anime. It had guys (like Power Rangers) who fought in(?) or maybe with(?) robots. I definitely robots. And the main character wore a pink/red suit with an eyeshield. The art style looked kinda like the art in Ranma 1/2, just sort of rounded features instead of the usual sharp noses and stuff.

But the second oldest would probably be Sailor Moon.

Oldest period is Kanashimi no Belladonna (1973), really trippy but awesome Mushi Pro movie.

Oldest TV series I think is Oniisama E... which is from 1991, apparently? Huh. I thought it was a lot older than that; the manga came out in 1975.
