But its fun guessing? I don't know about you, but I find it entertaining to think whats going to happen next and the characters you don't know much about. That is kinda why the mangaka doesn't rush and tell you everything right off of the bat?

Be that as it may, it's still fun to speculate and toss around ideas. Who knows, all of this may result in the creation of a story by one of the here.

I think ichigos father is a former 0 squad. He was the one who left when Hikifune (or whatever her name was) ed. He lost his powers thats why he had to leave the 0 squad. True story!

Shinji say he didnt know Ichii. When Ichii fought against the Hollow that killed his wife. Shinji didn't know it, I believe that Ichii is one of the caption that took Shinji place. I also believe the reason why Ichii knows Hat Man is because of the Order 46. I sure Ichii was sent to kill Hat Man, but they became friend.

Also, I believe that Isshin may have been the 2nd squad captain before Soi Fon. Soi Fon seems to be relatively new (aside from, say, kenpachi) and the space would have become open when he lost his powers for whatever reason. I don't think he was the 11th Squad captain because Kenpachi pretty solidly killed that guy (but I could be wrong).

This also begs the question of whether Ichigo's mother was also a death god (although I highly doubt she would be a captain -- since she was so easily killed by Grand Fisher).

and the whole ichigo's dad shinigami thingy was so made up half way through the series... i mean for christ sake, the shinigami was attacking ichigo and his daughters,,, and his dad was like ed out sometimes.... so the best excuse to explain that was "his powers returned", lol

im pretty sure ichigo father's is the retiring royal guard..about the timing of his retirement which is about 100 years before the bleach story start, i believe he went on journey for whatever reason which should be the time when he met urahara and the rest.. and since he 'retired', he no longer desire to be of service to soul society and wish to spend his time as he wish to. probably disappear asap after he exited king realm undetected by anyone.

and only after he met with ichigo mother he decided to discard his shinigami identity and use the gigai instead..

and i dont think anyone from the current soul society recognize him. time might move differently in the king realm or the guard was granted eternal youth while they serving in king realm.

I think this sounds very plausible. If Ichigo's leaking reiatsu is powerful enough to manifest powers in normal humans then it should also be enough to re-awaken dormant pre-existing powers.
In regards to his fathers identity, it is a fact that he was not captain of the second squad. Yoruichi was the first specialy forces commander to become a captain (which was the second squad) and then she integrated the 2 into one. Soi Fon was her prodigy that took over directly after.
I think the best possibility is that Ichigo's dad is from squad 0 (the royal guard) and that his mom was either a normal human that dad fell in love with, orrrr I think that she was also from squad 0 and the captain that Urahara replaced, the one that Hiyori thought of as a mother. Ichigo's dad and mom probably gave up their powers once they got preggo with him and the mom died to save Ichigo, regardless of powers or lack there of. Just like how Rukia got bit saving Ichigo even though she was strong and had powers.

I'm really looking forward to when Aizen gets to the royal palace (which he eventually will for the sake of the story) and we find out who Ishin and Mizaki are for sure. Cause really... i don't see any other time in the story for it to be revealed and be that cool unless we are forced to wait until the next arc 🤢

I don't think it's true but if it was then here is my guess why:
If he and/or his wife were in the royal guard and had their powers stripped when they came to human world, then he blames the king for his wife's death because if she had her powers she would have torn up grand fisher like nothing! lol Revenge is a ugly thing 😁

ichigo dad might not be captain at all, he say he is at captain level but nothing else, and if he was captain aizen would of known of him. u also need to consider that the gotei 13 is very new in soul society , yamoto created the skool and made the 13 protection squad. ichigo's dad may have been before the gotei 13 was form, and he didnt leave during the whole hollowfication experiments, he could of been like kenpachi a wander or a like hitsugya in another orginization becuz the people who left during the experiments still have their ppowers, isshin had lost his power and was only gaining it back when he killed grand fisher, mention by Kisuke Urahara after the fight. ishida father may have only known that he was a shinigami bcuz he spirit thread is red
