Aki [I'm a really, really big fan of hers! ;w; I own all her manga besides her doujinshi and Utahime, all of which I am currently searching for. ><; Her art is amazing but her plots are even better. She's one of those mangaka with the rare talent of making manga that have the combination of a good plot with art that fits the manga.]
Takayama Shinobu [Her fight scenes are epic! Her plot is okay and many times weak in a lot of parts such as character personality variety, but her art is excellent so I just ignore the plot haha...]
Sakondou Eri [Her manga have really original jokes and have really crisp, clean, and nice art. I don't have a particular reason to like her works, but I just really enjoy reading them.]
Lee Sun-Young [Her art is like Sakondou Eri's but many times more detailed. Her plots are a bit weak though, so I just read her art books.]
Nao Tsukiji [Her works such as Adekan and Kiniro Kishi obviously have funny plots and epic art! But sometimes her pictures are nosebleed inducing so I don't dare to read them much. 🤣 ]

Toriyama Akira for his sheer influence on the Shounen genre, and manga in general.
Nagai Go due to his wealth of great titles and for the way he broke boundaries in of content and themes that could be expressed in manga.
Yamamoto Hideo for his fearlessness in of subject matter, and intelligence with which he tackles those subjects. His mangas are incredibly violent and disturbing, but posess surprising amounts of psychologial complexity.
Ohba Tsugumi, proof that shounen manga doesn't have to just be about fighting. Dares to actually tell well though-out, original stories in a world saturated with shounens that are only interested in non-stop action and violence. I think we can continue to expect greatness.
Matsumoto Jiro is kind of in the same league as Hideo Yamamoto, but I think he also deserves a mention due to being one of the few mangakas that can write fantastic short stories.

Hope it's all right to revive this thread.
These have probably been said already:
Naoki Urasawa - There's no question.
Eiichiro Oda - One Piece
Yoshihiro Togashi - Hunter x Hunter
Kentaro Miura - Berserk
Tsugumi Ohba - I prefer the Death Note pair rather than just Ohba himself.
Also, these guys get my respect:
*6. Takehiko Inoue
*7. Masakazu Katsura
*8. Masanori Morita
*9. Hideaki Sorachi
*10. Kazuya Minekura

Nihei Tsutomu-->Blame, simply astonishing artwork for both characters+background design
Samura Hiroaki--->Blade of Immortal,great art+great fighting scenes+emotion deep characters
Ueda Shinsyu---> Dawn Tsumetai Te, Not really sure to put his name on the list, but of all his manga have equally good art and interesting plots
Karino Hasumi--->Renketsu Houshiki,H mangaka who has surprising gorgeous artwork+really good emotion expression characters
Togashi Yoshihiro--->HunterXHunter is the greatest shounen manga i ever loved
There are uncountable other good mangaka but i think these one listed above done their good jobs on both story and art...furthermore their manga are not/less effected by commercial factors which is the reason why i regretfully exclude KUBO Tite and Kishimoto Masashi out of the top 5 T_T
