OMG. I was in that line too for the SOS autograph. Didn't get one though, sadly. Kinda sucks that they only signed 100 posters even though there were 500+ ppl in line for their autograph. Yea this year was poorly organized since it was their first time back in long beach in a long time (been in Anaheim for the past however many years). Yea for the concerts, me and my friends just waited till everyone was in, they always had extras. Was able to get pretty good seats for all of em that way. Got the Death Note guy's autograph, and the One Piece char. designer this year to do a sketch for me (I chose Nami btw), so that was one my higlights this year.

I was thinking of going to Comic Con, but I've never been there before (been to AX 4 times). Anyone know if anyone special is going to be there or any special events to make it worth going to?

Err, the dub actor Johnny Young Bosch (aka Ichigo from Bleach, Albert from Gankutsuou, the main kid from Eureka Seven [I don't watch it so I wouldn't know], etc...) and Tanemura Arina (shojo author) will be there on Saturday...but that's all I've heard of so far for anime/manga guests 😢

I heard that they were gonna announce who would license Host Club at Anime Expo, but I guess I was totally wrong 😀
I've been searching the net, trying to find out what dub company got it, but I haven't heard anything so far ^_^;; My bro said he heard that Viz got it, which is a possibility since they already licensed the manga, but I have a theory that FUNimation will get it. I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not, but it seems that Funi licenses anime done by the studio Bones. For example, they did Fullmetal Alchemist, they just barely licensed Darker Than Black, so wouldn't it make sense for FUNimation to get Host Club since it's a Bones anme too? 😕

It's kinda like how all the Gundam anime done by Sunrise are licensed by Bandai (or something like that).

EDIT: Never mind. My theory was right; FUNimation got it 😀

Horray! I'm on my way to Sandy Eggos today to pick up my badge!!!!! Comic Con starts tomorrow!!! Anyone else going? I think I will dress up as someone on Saturday. ANybody think of any good cosplay that would be easy to make in one day?

Just curious, how far away from San Diego are you? 😕
From where I live, I think it's about a 2 hour drive for me 😀

The best cosplay IMo is the one you can make out of stuff you already own! Note the Cosplay thread from this morning.

I live about 2 hr as well (Los Angeles).

Not sure who Imma go as. I was hoping something easy came to mind. I ahve a red tanktop and some old jeans and a straw hat, so Luffy could be easy. Also, I can put on a suit and wear glasses to go as Watanuki! The possibilities are endless......

I can't think of any female characters that I actually want to cosplay as...'cept maybe Haruhi Suzumiya, but I'd much rather get the actual uniform :3
