I'd go for a hybrid gun/sword a la FF! 4v2z5t

Swords. But I like just plain old martial arts better.

I'd prefer a combination of the two, but if i had to chose i'd say swords. You get a much better sensation with swords than guns, though on the issue of ammo, swords can become blunt if you overuse them, or use them wrong; its a sword not a hammer. Though, in my opinion, you can't beat a staff, they're great fun to swing around and they can have quite the force behind them when they connect. Hmm... i'd go on but i'd start to sound a bit dangerous so i won't.

In manga i'd prefer guns, it easier to get a sense of the skill the has than with swords, a good example being Zero from Kurohime. Definitely like the infinite ammo guns better though, love Tasha from Witch Hunter too btw.

It depends bladed weapons can be quite beautiful... although guns are more suitable for combat in the 21st cnetury. I however prefer swords... or any weapon with a blade. These are my favourites:

Scythe
Naginata
Rapier
Cane-sword
Yathagan
Balisong
Fan?
Shuriken

I prefer swords (like the ones Yoshimitsu uses), but I think guns are more convinient. );

Well between those two, I'd pick swords. But a Kusarigama, chain sickle, is by far my favorite weapon...well I guess swords, especially Katanas come close.

For some reason I don't really like guns, convenient yes. But I believe any idiot can be trained to shoot a gun accurately (maybe not mastery but a decent shooter). Swordsmen need a lot of training to get to a decent level.

Swords ftw! You can just go Ka-chang! (unsheath sword), flashes sword in sunlight and temporarily blind the opponent and run away with it... Hee hee... Anyways, I think blades look much cooler on ppl (bishies) but guns kill easier... Like what otakuness said before, with swords 'thats were the real action happens'

But like some other person said, a kick in the b**** is much better ^^

But I like long-ranged attacks too- bows AND magic staffs! But still, I think swords are better than guns.
