I wonder if those things regenerate while he is not in his seal form. Kinda like a transformation that fully goes on and wounds taken while in that form to the extra parts return, he hasnt reformed yet so its a toss up right now. But yes, the hair gel will be fine, in fact, that might have been his last trump card, before the fight he smeared himself with it.

It doesn't seem right for Sasuke to come out unscathed from this. The explosion, according to Diedra would take out everything within a ten kilometer diameter. That's an incredibly large amount of energy. Even Hidan would be unable to survive that, simply because the amount of energy released from such a detonation would vaporize every single cell in his body. Even if Sasuke managed to escape, he would have to. HAVE TO, have been seriously injured. As in; third degree burns covering the majority of his body, losing of an appendage or two. Possibly having one of his eyes stop functioning due to the immense amount of bright light that was directed onto his cornea, thus burning out the nerves.

Because when we look at the yield of the explosion. The Only thing that can remotely match it with current world technology is a Thermonuclear Detonation, in short a Hydrogen-Bomb. Not to mention, ten kilometer diameter would roughly equal a comet impacting the planet. Releasing anywhere from two to five hundred megatons of energy. The very fact that when the explosion occurred, the clouds were pushed aside on a massive scale. Proves that the yield of the explosion matches Thermonuclear yield.

Unfortunately Kishimoto and his recent obsession with Sasuke, will no doubt pull a Dues Ex Machina on the story and allow Sasuke, and if need be Tobi. To come out of such a massive energy release completely un-harmed. Which will turn the story from a general shonen, into a Mary-Sue.

I repeat, A Mary-Sue.

Thats why I say the Sasuke that is fighting is actually one of those dead body/clone things Itachi used to stall naruto and co a while back. It makes some sense to me because Sasuke has been built up as a god and defeating everyone unscathed, then all of a sudden he runs into Deidara, who has been slapped around against almost everyone including Pakkun, and he gets beat up more then ever.

Just to clear some stuff up:
That dead body clone technique is NOT something Sasuke could or would use. First it requires a human sacrifice apparently... and I don't think Sasuke would do it considering he didn't want to kill anyone except Itachi (and for some reason he seemed more than willing t kill Naruto to...)
And second, it is not a Jutsu that Itachi or Kisame used. It's a Jutsu performed by the akatsuki leader. I doubt a lot of people could use it.

On the explosion I must it I also though of NGE when I saw it lol...

Sasuke might use the demon gate summon that oroshimaru used against 4tails Naruto to protect himself from the full blast.... But seriously, I stopped expecting intelligent stuff from this series a loooong time ago. Probably around the Sasuke retrieval arc...

we all knew Orochimaru, he surely stole that technic too, but it's true that Sasuke doesn't want to kill anyone(perhaps he wanted to act cool infront of Naruto.it's not hard to guess that someone would thrown himself in the way or something)

and if Sasuke's okay or not(I DO believe that he is) well we'll know that next week(if Kishimoto doesn't show something about Naruto's group or something)

btw. if Sakura doesn't show up before Sasuke I believe Kabuto does.Which again could be some fighting(which would only be interessting if Sasuke's out of chakra).ah,never mind,there are far too much possibilities and this isn't the right thread for it

I think that sasuke used mangekyou sharingan and teleported deidara somewhere else(tobi might have done sth similar too or if he is obito he could do same thing). From the beginning i thought that it would probably end this way and also at the end of the chapter you can see blood in sasukes eyes and i think that area around explosion looks different than before. It almost sure that sasuke has mangekyou , the point is if it will be revealed now. I gotta say im little disappointed with this fight becouse sasuke should defeat deidara without any problems for example he could have used chidori nagashi when he was trapped with clay bunshin and that would do it 🙂 sasuke is THE BEST seriously i hope it wont end in sucha crappy way where naruto is the best and stuff. Naruto in shippuuden is boring annoying and totally emo kid, no fun at all, not to mention that whole manga after fight sasuke naruto is getting more boring and is still very childish only fights and stupid emo talks. Anyways i like it;p

I see Sasuke using something he gained when he absorbed Orochimaru to escape.

now I wonder how long its going to take for the others to get there. a 10kil (6mile) high explosion? how can u not see that... not to mention the smoke and debris that'll fly into the air or the shockwave.

Sasuke could have gotten Mangekyo from killing Orochimoomoo, after all, Ochi may have been his only friend while there, so killing him would provide the opportunity. Also, is it possible that Kakashi copied Mangekyo from Itachi when he hit him with it years ago?
Not that it matters, Sasuke did say he had a backup plan and it could be anything, the writer has become more and more and more far fetched in the last few months and making up a new special power now woukd not be a surprise. Eventually one day Sasuke will have the power to transform worlds and eat whole civilizations while Naruto is still playing with little blue balls on his hand.

in the beginning of naruto was said that kekkei genkai cannot be copied, so there's no way in kakashi copying mangekyou sharingan.I for myself don't like the idea of kakashi having it.He propably only got in to show that there's another way which Sasuke will propably take.But even so it's possible that he used it, it would be a not so good end for Deidara thought.The best idea told here is that he hides somewhere underground or maybe the Orochimaru thing

i think the explosion looks a little bit like patric, from spongebob.......^^

there are 4 levels of a sharingan:

1. Level ---> Sasuke vs. Haku (movement perception) ( 😕 )
2. Level ---> Sasuke vs. Lee (movement perception/copy) (shodan sharingan)
3. Level ---> Saskue vs. Naruto (extrem movement perception/copy/mimicry/highspeed sight) (isshiidan sharingan)

and then, mangekyou sharingan. it's a very personal choice, it lays down on the characteristics of a person. itachi used it for his super-hyper-torture-genjutsu, kakashi can send something in a small area in an another dimention, and sasuke can look in the heads of others (the only reason he survived orochimaru's body transfer jutsu).

every mangekyou can't be copied, like haku's ice-justu, because of beeing an bloodline limit and their very own jutsu.
