I liked the second one best even though I was slightly confused about the initial relationship. Cheesy cute shoujo, all the guys looks the same, as usual, but hey what do you expect. 29w1f
Actually a really interesting concept, it's a shame it couldn't be developed more, it would be great if possibly a more experienced or better story teller could grasp this concept and work with it because it could make for an excellent series. Left me feeling a tad bit disappointed in all honesty.
Incest makes me squirm, especially parent-child incest, I honestly think I'd like guro better. Also, to anyone comparing homosexual relationships to incest...please just go and educate yourself or just maybe shut your disgusting, harmful thoughts inside your head thanks.
Haha wow that was actually the cutest thing ever. I actually want more. Really short and totally worth the read, the main male character was a riot and the cross dresser was really cool.
It's a shame she never wrapped this one up properly but I suppose Yuki-sensei had plenty of other stories to work on. Pretty cool concept, Kaori Yuki always has interesting stories that are very reminiscent of old Fairy Tales.
Haha that was actually really cute. Great artwork and the story was short, sweet and simple. I like that the mangaka at least cleared up which guy she would end up with at the end, which was totally the obvious answer anyway. This was actually quite well paced for a oneshot manga, considereing oneshot manga only have 1 volume it's not supposed to be dragged out and long obviously.
I found that pretty predictable to be honest. A pretty good one-shot though, even if the art wasn't overly appealing it was nice that it had it's own style. The woman seemed really awesome too. I wouldn't mind if this manga had been continued.
Hahaha, I can't help but love weird manga like this the best, I wasn't expecting that ending! But it was awesome. I loved the kooky art too. This manga is supposed to be silly and a gaggy and I love it.
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this, I thought the stories were very original and somewhat heartwarming (?). It just really gave me nice feeling after reading it and I was wanting more. I hope wan does more manhwa like this in the future. It's definitely worth the time of day.
Okay I have to it it was pretty cute, especially there little secret place, and I love chocolate so I guess that got me as well. Plus the main character is a really nice girl and that's something I like in manga, nice innocent girls, not going to lie.
The first two are actually very good, but the third one is rather boring and unexciting and just bland really, the boyfriend was horrible he should of been dumped on the spot. I do have to warn you about the second one though, it will stab you in the heart ;_;.
This manga turned out to be excruciatingly boring, it wasn't absolutely horrible or anything it's just that it lacked well, 'umph.' Not to mention that the mangaka doesn't seem very knowledgeable about Christianity to be honest, she has basic knowledge but pretty much trashes nuns (pretty sure nuns don't wear wedding dresses when they have their ceremony's). The plot was kind of all over the place...
This was like every other shoujo when it came to the plot and plot devices. However it was was awesomely so, it was sweet, fluffy, really the best kind of cliche shoujo. The two characters were enjoyabled, the female was sort of your typical heroine and the male, although not entirely typical, was seemingly perfect.
I sort of wish she hadn't given him a make over and they had gone out like that,...
Well that was something. Typical early 2000's cheesy (and not good cheesy) manga with lame story lines, over dramatic characters and often cringe worthy art and dialogue. The characters are basically recycled for each story. Overall, it's just bad. If you don't like wasting time I suggest ing on this one.
Booooooring. Sorry but that was actually very very boring in my opinion, it was just lack luster really. The art is okay and everything but the stories were just so bland. If you want a good yaoi this isn't it I'm afraid.
Okay well, that was something. The visuals for this manga are great and I'm sure a lot of people will be satisfied with the yaoi scenes, if not left with a bit of longing for something more. I want to talk about the story and plot, though. I really loved Jin I thought he was very sweet and his way of ageing was interesting. What I'm hoping for this manga though is a definite sequel so the mangaka...
This is so stupid. So why do I like it? It's probably because I'm a sucker for gag type manga and this manga reaks of gaggy silliness. If you're into that type of humour you're sure to get a hell of a laugh out of this, if not, you'll probably be bored. I have to say that it's very rushy, it skips to here and there quite a bit and doesn't really have an actual plot to it, really the only thing it...
This is a really good volume of one-shots focused around Busses/Bus stops. They're all very sweet and somewhat melancholic. The art is nice, the only low point is that some of the character look the same. My favourite was the third one.
This was utterly adorable, sweet, innocent and pure. My favorite type. The two characters were so lovable and perfect for each other. The male protag in particular is a refreshing shoujo character as he is nice, bluntly honest, sweet, and just plain innocent. I was left at the end wanting to see more of this cute couple. The art also is highly commendable, one of favourite styles in fact, smooth...
I want to bang my head against a wall at how lackluster the male love interests in this manga are. Some people may be into the droopy-eyed, 'I could care less' look but I'm so not subscribed to it. So besides the poorly written characters and the really poor, mediocre art, what exactly does this manga have to offer? Step-sibling romance? Wow, what every girl dreams of. Or, teacher-student romance?...
Wow this was awesome I love them all
- Was so funny and great and i love that style of art
- Was so sweeeeeeeeeet, and the ending was like "oh well." ;_: so sweet.
- Ah 3 is kinda, wah? I didn't really fully get it to be honest but it involved corruption
- WHY U DO THIS TO MY FEELS ;_; I had tears in my eyes, but it was very sweet and a really great depictian of age.
- Was very strange and interesting and...
I actually really liked this, mainly because I loved the female character and maybe because I can relate to her on a personal level. Plus I like instrument and photography so those combinations worked for me. It's a typical shoujo in the sense, even though the main character isn't always your typical shoujo protag. A good story about youth in general really as I'm sure a lot of highschoolers go...
A stray dog gets a home at the end and that's all one really needs from a story. A struggle between the boundaries of friendship and romantic/sexual love, Motoni displays High School angst within these much older seeming characters (like I'm pretty sure half of them are just 30 years old and stuck in high school or something) in a nostalgia inducing way. Good read, though it did 'run around' a bit...
Very cute! I enjoyed the first season the most, the second I found a bit meh mostly because I just didn't find Beom's character very compelling other than the fact that he was a killer whale and third I found fun the only thing is at this moment in time the thrid season isn't very well translate so beware of that. Still readable though so I got through it. Lot's of s** too if you're into that you...
That was kind of cute. I liked the main female lead. I guess from reading so much sappy shoujo a an independent female lead who is is actually cautious around men seems sort of refreshing. Also cross-dressing males that aren't type cast as being gay is always a plus.
This series of stories is really heart warming. Each has its own message and somewhat happy ending. The stories themselves are very intriguing but are very short. A lot have the theme of 'something is not as it seems at first' which adds to the curiosity of the plots. It's almost a shame the series is so short, I wouldn't of minded some more fleshed out tales and even more insight into the main...
I'm a sucker for historical fiction no matter how cheesy or cliche. This one is pretty sweet though and pure. It gets 0 complaints from me. My favourite was definitely the second one.
God, I am such an Est Em fan, I would die for her I'm sure. I absolutely love centaurs so this manga was perfect for me, I loved every single story out of this, I have no bad words for it. The strangest was probably the third one which was so random and the sweetest was the first. There is a real interesting play with the sociological aspect of centaurs being a part of society in each story so it...
What?
What did I just read? I think I only understood 25% of that manga. It was horrendously paced, made no sense, jumped from story to story and again I stress that it made no sense to me. It was stupid. The end. Don't waste your time.
Ahh, I loved all of them. My favourite had to be the one on the school roof, I really loved the dynamic between the two characters that type is my favourite. The first story, of course, was perf, Himi was so cute and I loved how they ed each other's fears, the last bit that Ogura put in for the story was humorous and lovely. The second with the guy on the bench was super cute, he was so cute...
There's not a whole to say about this manga. It's what you'd expect from the 70's, quick story, typical art, convenient plot developments (wow look at all that expensive Jade), but, a manga with female empowerment like this especially from 70's Japan, always gets extra points from me. A pretty rad read overall, and a nice taste of Wada's work.
Behind all the shoujo glitter there's a story about prejudice, greed and doing what is right despite what everybody else thinks or does. Wish they had done more than one volume of this LN because I became quite interested in the universe that was displayed.
Urgh, this was so cheesy. I've read worse though so I'll give it that. It was pretty cute in some areas. I also give it extra points for being all in one universe, I like when one-shots interconnect so that was a plus. I wasn't however fussed on the 4th story because well...yeah how old is he? Also just a note here; wine should not be used as a lubricant!!! I cannot stress that enough, when I saw...
Wow that was actually rather good. I was really skeptic because hello, hentai, but the story and art makes up for it. It was heart warming in a way, very twisty and turny though. If you're not afraid of graphic sex scenes then I recommend this.
Awww, that was a really nice short story about friendship. Very quick read. I don't agree with the BL subtext tag though to be honest, I didn't really get that feeling from it. That girl though, mega-(youknowwhatgoeshere).
These were all really great to read. I enjoyed every story around the same amount. My favorites would probably have to be the turtle one and the during a stormy night one. Those two appealed to me the best. Especially that teacher. The art was awesome, the stories were awesome and even the side characters weren't 2-dimensional. I would of loved to see more of the side characters as well and that's...
Absolutely terrible, I found myself skipping dialogue and pages just in hope that maybe somethin good would come out of this, unfortunately nothing did, I just...urgh. The female characters are lame, the male characters are lame, the story is stupid and lame. That is all.
Homunculus is one of the most amazing manga's I have ever read. If you're into psychological manga this is for you. By an amazing mangaka, Homunculus is certainly one of my all time favourites.
I always enjoy when a series of stories is interconnected in a one-shot manga.Personally, nothing really jumped out to me about this comic but I enjoyed reading it all the same, for me the second story was the most stand out despite the awful circumstances that lead to the evolution n their relationship. The others lacked a little bit of oomph for me, maybe because they were already somewhat...
Suzuki Julietta is a formidable shoujo artist, her art is perfect and clean and her stories are original, flow well and are captivating. She really knows how to make you want to turn that page all the way to the end. This collection of stories is almost perfection. The tales are bitter-sweet, to the point where you don't know where the bitterness starts and the sweetness ends. There's quite a...
Honestly...wasn't expecting to enjoy this in the slightest but I kind of grew attached to the characters? Sumiya especially. It's sort of a layman's initiation into SM in a way but on a more professional scale than purely in the bedroom between partners (still better than 50 Shades but I suppose that's not a very high bar to get over, more of a stick on the pavement really). It does get ridiculous...
No because this is actually so funny, I'm honestly surprised I haven't come across this theme before.
If you like Otome then you'll enjoy this for sure. If you like boys love AND Otome, well, read this immediately.
I'm not exactly sure how to articulate my dislike for this one. I thnk a lot of t, unfortunately, came from the scanlators (bless them and thank them for their efforts) choice of display, I don't know why they made the choice of using that font and the grammar was often times hard to read. The manga though s very rushed, the story line doesn't give you any time to breathe, literally none. The last...
The first story is kind of boring to be honest, very bland. The second story is actually very cute and the art is very good, it's also an interesting concept that isn't over done in shoujo manga. If you don't like the first at least skip to the second chapter. The third chapter was also really cute and I liked the simplistic art, the main female was also really humorous. The fourth story is more...
This was actually really cute all the way through. The character development is good enough, Nebel gets a lot less, mean, which is great.I had to give this extra points for the art because it was very cute and the way Sti is drawn is adorable.
This is honestly one of the best manga stories/boys love manga I've ever read. SO well written, the art is lovely, the characters are all lovely and well thought out and three dimensional and the story is cute and overall satisfying.
I want to yawp on top of a mountain about how good this is. What I loved is the fact that it combined your usual cheesy, boys love sweetness with actual reality. That sense of realness is what really makes this manga. The dynamic of the characters is done so well too and Junko took what seemed to be a major problem and dealt with it in a somewhat realistic tone and in a way that all people should...
Wow this was actually a really compelling story. The art's great and the story is awesome, something not done too often in the zombie manga genre. I recommend giving it a quick read, it's worth your time.
I loved that! Maybe it's because I'm partial to astronomy, but that was uber lovely. I really really liked it and I liked the two protagonists, I wanted to see more of their relationship bloom. I'm actually longing for more of this story, we were given enough background on them both to make me really curious. I really wish it was longer.
I rather enjoyed this one. I'm actually a fan of age-gaps between older males and younger females (not too young of course), so this appealed to me right off the bat. I very much liked the main female protag, she was really cool headed, assertive and powerful in general. The male was also interesting, I loved his design and I liked his transitioning from playfulness to serious when the time called...
This isn't exactly an amazing piece of art/literature but I would be lying if I said I was not entertained. The main characters are cute and their individual actions are somewhat entertaining to watch unfold. The universe the author has created is quite interesting as well, nothing about this manga is set up at the beginning to make you think that this is a serious piece as well, most things are...
This was super cute, a great one-shot. All the characters are really enjoyable and well developed as is the plot of each story. The art also uplifts the cuteness of the story as the s are done really well.I enjoyed chapter 4 the best, the male and female characters were so quirky and funny and i just love the dynamics between them.
Overall this pretty mediocre. There's some goo storyline commentary on what it means to protect someone you love but in the end even that only grazes the top layer of depth that that discussion requires. The relationship between the two teachers is somewhat fascinating to watch throughout the plot progression though. I wish they had gone a bit further with the relationship of the two mains or they...
THAT WAS CUTE OKAY. That was so sweet would read again 10/10, I love sweet, nice characters. I also like mega height differences _ The main guy was the absolute sweetest. He's my ideal type of male lead, I was there were more like him in shoujo instead of the 'bad-boy' thing :<
I went into this with low expectations but was surprisingly wrong. It was mega cute, the female lead was lovely and the male lead was just right, wasn't over done or whatnot. Maybe it's because the story line appeals to me, who doesn't want a rich man to fall in love with them. Translation was a bit bumpy with a lack of a better word to describe it, but was still well done enough to completly...
From the brilliant Itou Junji, you can't go wrong with his horror. I absolutely love love love horror like this, the art is different and awesome and suits the dark, mysterious atmosphere. The unresolved endings just make the stories more mysterious and spooky. I felt really sorry for Mimi, she keeps running into these scary occurrences, I'm surprised she hasn't gone mental. I wish I owned this in...
Really nice, I thought the first two chapters were really fun and I look forward to reading the spin-off of the first. I rather hope that Scarlet explores the actor character as well in the future. I was okay with the main story/couple, I didn't overly enjoy it but it was sweet, I just wish there had been more depth to their past but it is just a short manga after all.
I didn't really have any great expectations when going into this manga but it turned out to be really great. I guess I'm a sucker for time travel manga, but this was really sweet and heart felt in a way. A great manga about team work and timeless bonds. I really suggest giving it a try.
This was a very sweet one. As always Yukimura's art is very crisp, clean and just a delight to view. I really enjoyed the characters within this one, especially the personalities of the extra characters, everybody was so well rounded, that's what I call good story telling. It fell a tiny bit flat for me around the end though, I was hoping for a bit more and possibly more of an explanation on the...
I loved this! The first one was great, I loved the interchanging perspectives of the characters, and they are both so oblivious. The rest were also really good and the last was rather sad. The art was lovely too. I absolutely recommend it.
What the actual-? Okay this was quite amusing and I'm not complaining about the bishounen. I actually want elaboration on this story it's so weird but I'm curious about their 'neko tribe.' This oneshot is basically just fluffy fan service, so enjoy.
Well this was interesting I guess, the stories actually get more weird as you go on and last one, well, that was just the icing on the cake. I'm going to give it a bit more praise just for those last few stories despite the extremely plain art style in all of these.
I love when love interests aren't always conventual. This series really struck a cord with me and it's very sincere. It doesn't feel exploitive of its male love interests. It doesn't present anyone as perfect.
This is such a soothing manga. Slow paced and sweet. It feels very refreshing to read a romantic tale that falls into place like this one. The characters are both really easy going, and the way they end up together is actually quite realistic. The side characters with it as well make this manga worth it. Eighto's friend gives the manga a slight spizzazz. It's really the little things within the...
Frick this is good. Damn I really loved this so it tore me apart when it ended at only volumes. Now I'm raging to read the light novels, which the scanlators AQUA Scans is actually wishing to translate. So if you want to see the light novels actually get translated for us to read I suggest heading over to their site to them and spread the word.
The female protag is dead set awesome. The...
Well that was pretty cool. I'm into gods/spirits and all that in manga so this was an interesting read. I don't think I've ever read a manga with a festival such as the one showed in here. The cleansing dance looked pretty awesome. A good one-shot overall, nicely paced as well.
This is definitely a unique way to start a relationship. I can say with confidence I've never seen that one in a shoujo before. It was really cute, fluffy, a good shoujo one-shot. Shiiba Nana's art is crisp and lovely as always. Good for a quick read, a shoujo pick me up of sorts.
I guess it was kind of different, getting off on biting and all. I was kind of 'meh' with this manga to be honest. It wasn't bad but it wasn't overall amazing either, kind of '2-D' in the sense. Not much too it other than lust. The characters were also sort of bland.
Well alrighty then. Morie's art as always is beautiful and smooth. The story didn't feel rushed which is a blessing in a oneshot and the main characters were interesting. The sex scene was also done in a 'not too much not too little' sort of way as well, which is something I like. I would of liked to see how the girl went through her 'transformation' though, I wish that had been elaborated upon.
I thought this was really cute and funny. The protagonist was different to your usual shoujo heroine which is something I always enjoy. I loved the fact that the cool looking handsome princely guy wasn't actually cool at all and was kind of a whimp. This manga smashed shoujo cliches for me which is a huge plus.
God I really don't know why Japanese authors love to use sexual harassment to advance a relationship I mean really I'm starting to become quite concerned about the female population of Japan, does this happen in real life? Their boyfriends force themselves upon them and then they're forgiven cause he's 'sexually promiscous~~' ? Anyway. End life worries. Begin actual review of this work.
It's a...
I really like the concept of this short story. It was very quick and to the point so there was no time to stop and smell the roses so to say. I wouldn't mind if the mangaka had expanded this story into a longer one-shot or series because the spirit character was quite funny.
I had pretty good impressions from the picture for this manga so I read it. The art is very good and cute, the characters in this are also very cute, even the frogs, especially the frogs. The dragon god is also a total diva. All in all very sweet, a good shoujo that's totally worth the minute to read.
I feel like this would make a great film adaptation if it just had a few tweakings to the story. A compelling tale of a dying father with nothing to live for except for justice for his murdered daughter.
It was good, if not a little bit ridiculous towards the end. Still, refreshing to read sincere manga stories like this as they are rarer.
Well that was...interesting? It's certainly original, I didn't think I'd ever be reading something about a hamster giving dating(?) advice, but here we are. I guess I should of learned to expect the weirdest when it comes to manga.
This was basically just a short, cute fluffy one-shot from the male's POV, which is interesting. The male character was really the only one I liked as the female was sort of a typical shoujo occurrence. It made me want to read about a man typecast due to his menacing looks but was actual sweet guy on the inside.
If you just want a quick, sort of cute read then this is for you. If however you want something different and unique keep moving. The story is the classic friends turn lovers deal, no surprises, turns, unexpected outcomes, just simply friends falling in love. It's good as a one-shot and the art is very nice to look at. It must be commended for not feeling cheesy for such an over-used plot-line...
Whoa Nostalgia much? This was the first ever manga I borrowed from a library! I really need to pick this up and read it again it's been so long. I can totally see why people thought that it was a shounen-ai, even when I read it I still got that vibe. Great manga~
"You can start a war when you want, but you can't end a war when you want." -Machiavelli
This manga is a solid life lesson. Don't spoils things for people, seriously don't if you do you are a horrible being. With that said this manga gave me a chuckle, I recommend it for a quickie. You could also possibly take it as reference for whenever your own friends spoil things for you.
For a manga dealing with semi-serious adult subjects, cabaret, single parenthood, abuse, etc, the manga is pretty naive about it. It lacked the depth that I craved. It felt like stories a girl in middle school would come up with. I was a bit disappointed as the art is really pleasing to look at and Yuri written by female mangaka is always better and usually not exploitive. That being said though...
I love this kind of relationship dynamic. The setting is really interesting too, I feel like it's set in America/California, there's a for example that shows palm trees, and that's really different to see in manga. Can't believe I'm saying this though, but, wish there had just been a bit less sex and a bit more story.
This manga was actually quite a fun read even though it was far from perfect. Whilst I loved the main characters I felt like there could have been a bit more depth to both of them. I also felt like the series could have gone on for at least another volume or two, it ended just when things seemed to have been very shaken up and could have been interesting to see the events span out. I would have...
In all honesty the only reason I rated this work 7 was due to the beautiful art style, otherwise the plot was a bit of a letdown. The plot is slightly bland and lacks substance, unfortunately. Despite this, it turned out to be an alright read, it was just a bit boring to get through. The first part of the story which is set in the 18th century is mind-numbingly bland and lack cohesive structure...
Damn that was cute, I'm giving it a highs score because everything about this manga appealed to me and I just can't fault it. The characters foremost are absolutely silly, funny adorable and just lovely. I can totally see them getting married in the future. The art was also adorable and one of my favourite styles of manga. The story line was simple, slightly cliche but it's a shoujo after all, but...
It'll take you 10 seconds to read, just go ahead, it's sweet.
A pretty basic lil romance story, it starts off with drama but then kinda peters out into the romance and lovey-dovey stuff. Like so many yaoi/bl/shounen-ai stories, unfortunately, the women don't have it the best in this, especially the pink haired friend, who cute, becomes rather annoying (they gay girl read the room). It was kinda cool to see a series that actually portrayed being queer in a...
Well, that was unexpected. I love stories like this! I want a whole series with this truck driver. I'm a big fan of Asada Nemui, her art is really great to look at. This is really short so give it a read!
This is a lovely pure hearted love story. The characters are so sweet and you can just tell that they're meant for each other. I can see them married and having children and everything. They are so cute. I also love the side characters, and also the two side stories we got. The second one was about the little brother and that was super cute. This manga is just so happy, lovely, sweet with a twinge...
This manga needed time. A LOT more time. You can't cram a story that deep and twisted into a two volume plot, it's just not going to end well. Due to this the story ended up lacking major character development, things just sort of...happened. This story needed pacing, it needed to be drawn out and kneaded into a good piece of dough. Instead I'm sat here with soggy flour and egg. It's somewhat of...
Oh hello there you beautiful oneshot. Everybody should just read this. Shoujo done right. Very short, I actually wish there was more but it was somehow adequate for this type of story. Not a huge fan of the cut off ending but it still left me satisfied in a way. The art was also very beautiful.
Oh wow that's just ouch. Arranged-marriage sucks. This sucks. He sucks. Stuff the marriage why can't they just be together, it's the 21st century people, and his mum didn't look upper class or anything. Sheesh. However frustrating this was a nice quickie I guess. The art was also nice.
I'm not sure what I just read to be honest, did that have any meaning? I'm not sure if there's something I'm not picking up on in this but it seemed sort of pointless? Like what did I just read? Is there any meaning to this? Okay I think the son has a thing for the 'dad'?? Maybe? 8 pages didn't reveal a lot.
This is a really quick, short one but worth the read. It's super cute, between two cute friends and the ending is just even more cute and melts your heart with how utterly cheesy (good cheesy) it is. Of course, Junko's art is always a help in upping the cute levels of her works.
At one point, no make that multiple, I questioned why I was reading this...I'm glad I kept going because it turn into something deep and psychological with meaning I just think it suffered from pacing more than anything. The first season went on for too long in my opinion and the bits the author really should have focused more on towards the end should have had more time for the full story and...
It was okay. Fullstop. I didn't feel any chemistry from the main couple tbh, they felt more like siblings than anything. Was rooting for the fox ngl. My head-cannon is that they get together in the future.
Man I really am a sucker for yakuza manga aren't I. I loooove the couple's dynamic and they are both super likeable characters. Just wish it had been wrapped up in a slightly more cohesive way and possibly fleshed out a bit more. I really love Tatsuyuki.
This seemed like it could have made a good series if it had been worked on more, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have picked up enough popularity to be serialised. Interesting concepts within this and the power of friendship and trust is always a nice theme. Good for a quick read.
