but maybe I just have a thing for pirates? I love the characters, with the exception of a few, and the longer, more drawn out storyline is unique and captivating. The art, especially for Canale, and I love the depth to the plot and character history. Give it a try, I think this series is like marmite, you either love it or you hate it, and you cant rely on someone else's opinion. 111q4w

I love this mangaka's art, however I dislike doujinshis and oneshots so haven't really enjoyed much of her work. This one however, was great. I loved the characters (although they were stereotypical/predictable at times) and the storyline was just enough to make me want to read more. I love the way this mangaka tells her stories, and am eagerly awaiting more scanlated chapters 🙂
