There is a mysterious man who appears to be a Buddhist monk, but he really follows a path outside of the Buddha's teachings. He wanders modern Japan, and helps those who ask. He gives more help than they expect, because he can see the past lives of people living now-- he can identify bad souls, and sentence them to death. Through the removal of the bad, he can change the fate of others for the better.
