ML can't think his way out of a wet paperbag.

In ch 23, when the bitch cousin is all feverish, Ayla says ML should stay with the cousin to feed and care for her.

Instead of using his own argument that he'd harangued Ayla with about Hyme's "inappropriate" actions of catching Ayla before she fell down the stairs, which might actually have saved Ayla's life at the time, to resolve this situation: "No, I should not. I'm a married man. My cousin is a young woman under our roof without a chaperone. Our staff is competent enough to care for her. If she doesn't want to eat that's her choice. I can't stay and feed her like a child that she very clearly is not."

Instead of saying something like the above, this bitch-ass little twat looks all jealous that Ayla doesn't care for him and goes silent.

This is the second strike. Frustrating. The first one was the situation with Hyme. ML didn't reprimand his cousin for knocking Ayla aside on the staircase where Ayla could have fallen.

Neither did he show any gratitude to Hyme for saving Ayla.

He supposedly couldn't see what happened but he certainly saw Ayla come down the stairs before his cousin just fine and managed to see Hyme catch Ayla from falling in 4D but he "couldn't" see his cousin pushing Ayla aside in the middle of that?

Nah. I don't buy whatever this author is selling.

ML gets better. Waaaay better. It literally happens within 2 chapters very early on. Then again it's been noted that he's a hopeless romantic.

Am I being too much for calling the cousin a bitch? I don't think so. She's even worse. She never thought how her infatuation would turn out. Never gave face to her own cousin or even Ayla who's literally of royal blood.

Like, immaturity is a thing, sure, okay let's go with that but are we going to keep giving this kind of excuse for these kinds of characters? That's some shitty character building, Dearest Author.

If she actually had a plan and was following through I might have respected her ambitions but nah. She's just a dumb, country bumpkin of a bitch.

Thankfully ML, who's the dumbest bitchy asshole in all of this, maybe sort of pulled his head out of his ass for the bare minimum of making absolutely certain this bitch understood he wants nothing to do with her. She needs to stop her delusional fantasies. Also, this asshole smartly said all of this to the bitch in front of Ayla. FINALLY.

Ayla is a doormat. She's been betrayed so much in her first life that she's just going through the motion. Still. Still. She's still letting dumb shit happen to her despite being the one that holds all the power in this life. Damn, girl.

ML's bestie, Count Setler, is a world-class shit stirrer, too. LMFAO I love him, Your Honor.

I swear, none of the named, unattached men in this are unproblematic. Looking at you, Crown Prince.

Ayla's dad for the win! A decent RoFan papa from the get-go? Amazing.

Also, the artwork is soft and pretty, very inoffensive. Nothing jaw dropping or even memorable except for the weird face shapes and close-set eyes. I would normally adore eyes that small and more realistically proportioned but the way they're pulled so close towards the nonexistent nose is...no. My sense of aesthetics felt violated with this style.

Hyme, Ayla's knight guard, is bizarrely better looking from every angle than the ML. So is the crown prince.

I'm sorry, I'm a shallow basic bitch. I can't help thinking that if I can fix those two things then the art would be really nice.

Skipped to ch 90 and the art glow-up is crazy. Wow. The issue with the eyes and the face is almost fixed now. Good. Very good.

no genuinely is he ok? the switchup in 5 chapters is insane

as of ch 68 review: ignoring the sudden behavior change in the love interest, i fail to believe how many times the author tries to sell the MC as someone from Korea who knows every social custom in this foreign nation and can somehow be an expert business negotiator. story is told mostly through the love interest observing the MC though, so it could be a biased narrator. there is a B plot based on a conspiracy to kill the MC that adds some needed tension, but I am of the opinion that she has far too many allies than enemies.

Backstory shapes the FL's actions

So the story seems to focus more on the the FL from the perspective of the ML. We as the audience get to see the thoughts of both ML and FL, but the story seems to center around the feelings of the ML. I think it was smart of the author to spotlight the ML as I think he would have been frustrating to read about if we were seeing things from the FL's perspective. His emotions as of chapter 17 are all over the place and its understandably frustrating for all parties involved, letting the reader get a firm understanding of why his emotions are so imbalanced helps make things less frustrating for the reader.

The FL is a transmigrate and her backstory shapes her actions, mainly how and why she died play a role in how she approaches things.

The story has a very slice of life feel where just day to day things happen, there is no sneaky revenge plot at tea parties or the FL and ML trying to manipulate some big baddy, just a normal day to day life of two people who will unexpectedly fall for each other. If you can get past how different the art is from the mainstream, then I'd recommend it to others.
