Description

You can kill people, it's your freedom. Like freedom of speech, it's freedom of killing. Just expect you need to take responsibility for your murder. Be a responsible murderer? Nah, it's a joke.

At the last moment, Reika know what her father want and need and she did it to help her father out of love of her father. If someone still confused about it, think this:

Tetsuo feels guilt for years and he want someone to punish him. Unlike the reader, he is tired physically and mentally and longing for a retirement. Reika understood this thus she captured her father. Like saying "thank you for your hard work protecting us for all this years. It's time for you to rest."

It's a good closure. Otsukaresama desu, tetsuo-san.

If manga ends like many other long running manga, its ending satisfy some people while makeing other feel unsatisfied, but to another level.
I am part of the unsatified group

All in all this was a great manga for the 2 major arcs the third arc felt uneccessary. Not only that but the daughter really made this manga suck. Like she is written well compared to many other manga characters,do not get me wrong. However, asthe result of her actions, the family starts to fall down a slippery slope of dangers. And by the end of it all, she still is selfish, sure she loves her family very much, but her values of family and other things are so bizarre. I would go into detail further, but i do not want to spoil readers
Underneath i explain why im confused

like, i do not understand why she thought that arresting her father would be a good idea. She said that she thanks him for being able to sacrifice and do so much for her, but in the end, she just arrests him. Like her values of justice and family is weird. Why would you want to arrest the man who had done everything in his power to stop you from being harmed. I just cannot understand.

Overall it rwally had a great 2 arcs, but the third one was not great and imo the ending left me feeling empty and a bit frustrated

I started reading this after watching the anime and for its type, I think its awesome and I'm so glad I found it. It gives a ''Death Note'' thriller vibe and I love it.

The ML is the typical dad. A VERY typical dad~ He realize that his daughter is a domestic violence victim by her boyfriend who happened to be in yakuza. He overheard him saying he wanted to kill her daughter so he took the first step-killing him first! Interesting.

If you like mystery, murder and yakuza stories, its a must read.

It should've ended after the first arc

While the rest of the series isn't bad, the longer it goes on the more situations seem forced and the harder it becomes to suspend disbelief. While the start was somewhat extreme thematically it still felt grounded and realistic. After that it starts to feel more like Death Note with characters preparing for other character's preparations based purely off speculation yet somehow are still correct. They come to conclusions which are ridiculous based on the info given yet still play out. Kubo also lacks any level of grounded realism by the end. He is clearly superhuman and that's dumb and doesn't match the setting. It's still entertaining but it lacks the consistency and strong emotional core of the beginning.

Also to the people who hate Reika... She was written as an object and a plot propellant in the first arc rather than a character. She gets better if you give her a chance.

story begins as a salary-man killing his daughter's abuse boyfriend, and hiding his body.
he turns from normal regular person into a guy(who kills to protect his family).
everything about the story is great,
you will get breaking bad vibe with death note thriller experience

Amazing thriller

Here I am taking the hook, but this is a really interesting thriller manga. It's not about the mystery, but creating the mystery! Witness the story of a man on the run and his pedagogical explanations about how to get rid of a body.

Undoubtedly this must have been very difficult to write but the author did great and isn't letting us down. The story makes sense and as far my knowledge goes, the protagonist is a smartass. I'm going to expect a lot from them in the future !
