Description

This was a fantastic manga in my opinion. I love the art and the plot, but what happened at the end. I thought there would be more like his journey to her or something similar. Over one of the best Seinen manga I have ever read. 10/10

i feel like crying reading this, such bad overpowered godmod character, a pedophilic teacher, and some kind of 1000year-old demon masquerading as a middle school kid. and is this twilight with more sex? all those prose extolling someones' body and prowess, it is too tiring. moreover i hate the narration and the dialogue, it sound like from some crappy golden age super hero comic book.
but i preserve. i preserve for the wonderfully beautiful delicious art and thats it, but 50ch on, i cant take it anymore. this is pure adolescent wet dream, and im outta it.

I had to think a lot to give a fair rate to this manga. I liked the first half of the series a lot, but the last 30 or 40 chapters lost a bit of quality in my opinion, although they were good. I still think I'm overrating it with a "9", but I guess it's fair considering the beginning of the series.
I think it's very likely to anyone who likes shonen to love Wolf Guy, since I can see a lot of influences from this genre here. The good part is that the author cut off most of the boring shonen crap, creating a very addcting manga. But I still think that someone wishing for a more mature seinen won't like this series.
In general, the characters are nice, the plot isn't very complex, although the manga has some metaphorical meanings in the background regarding humanity and I think it's also a good manga to the free time. The art is also nice.

wow the beginning was good but towards the 70's stuff was kinda....yeah mega spoilers ahead so watch out

wow is all i can say man we really have some main character here, my god i know the creater wanted this to be realistic but with a little fantasy but come on its getting too ridiculous, let the main character save the fucking girl man, Akira is so garbage now he didnt stop the teacher from first getting kidnapped and molested, second he didnt stop her from getting raped by his enemy, after that he didnt stop her from getting GANG raped!!, next he didnt stop the video of all of this getting posted online for every one to see, my god how lame of a male lead can you be, fucking acomplish something!! , plus his general attitude now pisses me off, i know you got some moral code like batman but just kill Haguro he dont deserve to live, hes a freaken monster and if you had just killed him before chiba would be alive and the woman you love wouldnt be captured and getting gang raped, come on youre a werewolf !!!! youre better then him in every way and you end up being pathetic plus Ryuuko too he should have atleast punched her since she caused the teacher being raped but no Akira just loves only giving you a scary face then letting you go............well any way i just had to get that off my chest and im up to chapter 93 so far so i wonder how this event will turn out cause they really fucked up the teacher so she should be messed up mentally for the rest of her life and i hope shes not pregnent by her rapists and also how the fuck they gonna end up together after all the shit thats going on, i not trying to be an asshole but if they end up together then Akira is a better man then most, to just say " oh lets just forget you got gang raped for hours and start going out," come on isnt it cruel of the author to let a bunch of guy have there way with the protaganist's girl, wtf was he thinking or did he just want to show rape scenes for about 10 chapters

this used to be 10 to me mainly cause of the art and story was interesting but after the current events........

this is my recent finishing of the manga update and i have to say it didnt get better and the ending was mediocre at best honestly i dont know why the author ruined such a good manga, really if you wanted to draw an extra long rape fantasy, make some hentai on the side or something dont just put it in a good ongoing manga. honestly im only giving this a 7 because there is a separate artist and author for this and the artist did a great job plus i did like everything before the raping.

its not even that im against reading dark stories and i know i said this already but why the fuck did it have to be the heros girl come on really???!!! they could have raped any other girl but her to me and not just raped but destroyed and publicly humiliated i mean how many mangas end with "oh the villain fucked and gangbanged my girl"

i know this is their manga and they can do whatever they want but you got to think of your characters and the readers ing you as well

The violence seemed over the top (probably because after a certain point it wasn't needed in the story at all) and the ending was kind of weird - somewhat of an open ending, but not quite.
I'm surprised I managed to read it all. The art was nice - I saw better, but It's still pretty good.

The problem with this manga is

At first the portrayal is as though they want to portray the life and rhymes of a warewolve that in the end gets involved in something big with some real life lessons conveyed through his personality and actions. And they did, but what was the purpose of this manga and what is the conclusion?

But from the half way, I think the author doesn't know what to do. He wants to make this a teaching lesson manga with crappy portrayal(completely exaggerated and perverted(for the lack of the better word)) that either you would rage, get erections or enjoy the negativity while trying to show the most brutal and cruel side of humanity in a very exaggerated manner just so you could learn something from it but those lessons don't scream, they are there in the nuances but general readers won't go there as they will be inundated with rage or so and the others will care to just enjoy it

Its sad that it was readable throughout the end though I skipped 20-30 chapters (around 80 or so) was still able to understand what was happening in the manga. Simply bad

Don't read it unless you could enjoy the things I mentioned before but don't expect ANYTHING new.

I loved this manga from the beginning to the bitter end (though I haven't read the last chapters yet ~). If I may say so, rape in the manga world, much less like rape irl, is still artistic. No matter how dirty, horrendous or abnormal it gets, it still feels neat to me. Here, the guy pushed it a little but, as I've read true horror through Berserk (seriously, sometimes I can't help feeling Berserk is too much), this es as something disagreeable, nothing more. Sometimes you need to feel like shit to truly understand what this world is about.

What I want to put to light in this manga is just how strong the bounds between people are, with characters sometimes messed up, sometimes stupid, sometimes cute, annoying, creeping... Just like in Akumetsu, it's obvious the author tries his best to make it, if not realistic, in the most coherent way. Things happen for a reason, there is intellect behind any comportment, even mindless ones.

With this manga, I'm definitely a fan of the Tabata-Yugo-sensei pair. The stories are profound and well-thought in how they are set, the characters' philosophy and way of thinking are perfectly drawn out by an art leaves a strong mark, they are totally worth reading and following.

This isn't even contextually comparable to Berserk. Berserk actually does shit to make a point, or further the story.

Wolf Guy on the other went straight into gratuitous, awful, pandering. It goes past the point where we get the message or feel the gravity of the scene. At some point it is no longer an emotional device and instead straight up masturbation. People think that you can throw together violence, sex, and some cheesy brooding main character and voila, you've got grade A seinen! But it doesn't work that way. Even ignoring the rape, the series suffers from that corny, over the top, metal cartoony, seinen vibe.

Series like Nausicaa, Lone Wolf and Cub, Phoenix, etc. far sur anything Wolf Guy is praised to be. Even Tabata's other work Akametsu puts Wolf Guy to shame.

Don't get me wrong Wolf Guy is still a decent series, but a masterpiece? Not really.

Good Manga

The manga is great. The art is simply amazing, the chars are deep and likeable ( most of them ). The only thing that I don't like about this manga is the last part ( vol. 11-12? ) because of the rape...too many chapters with that shit, very explicit...too hard to take it off of your mind ( it's almost like Netorare ). And when all that shit is gone...more comes in.

However, I think the art and the plot up to vol. 11-12 deserves a try if you haven't read it yet. Is like Sun Ken Rock, even if you don't like the plot, is worth to read it.
