I feel like like almost every moment that was kinda important and the reader couldn't really tell the outcome, were suddenly rushed without it making many sense.

Whoa great seme and uke, but aimless and insipid story

Wha, too bad about the seme and uke, who are both pretty interesting chars, just stuck in an insipid, uninspiring story that has no idea where it is going. While I am all for stories without much plot and lots of atmosphere, this one doesn't quite cut it. The pacing was too fast, the chapters were too short, it just didn't click properly. I loved the design and personality of the uke, so cool and hip! And the seme was not without his merits although he's not as intriguing as the uke. The story with the ex boyfriend was only so-so, IMHO a better baxkstory should have been constructed. Also the seme's yakuza backstory was also left pretty much thin as paper.

But still, the art was top tier and the uke made me read this tot he end. Plus it's a relatively short read, only 30 chaps.Not too bad, so still worth a read.

So much potential was lost. Author could've expanded on the series instead of 30 chapters. It was a nice story but lack depth in my opinion. It was an okay read overall.

In my opinion, the red head guy was okay everyone else needs theraphy to get over their stuff. The ex at the beginning had good intentions but his actions towards ML is inexcusable. While it was nice touch that he (the ex) has learned to give ML up and apologize.

I enjoyed the story, but found it too shallow compared with the potential it had.

I'm actually kind of really disappointed that no one really had a character arc. In a whole season.

In the end Geumhwa just went back to his old lover and his old suicidal ways. Like srsly wtf??? That's fine if there's another season for him to grow and become a stronger person, but it just ended there??? I'm actually so mad lol.

I had expected that after he got back to Korea his experience with Seung Jae would have led him to finally value himself a little more and move forward with more strength of character. Instead he just got back with Minwook and then he allowed Seung Jae to "save" him instead of him growing a pair and saving his own damn self by becoming an independent person.

Geumhwa was a ive character letting things happen to him for like 90% of the story. That's generally a big no-no in fiction. Main characters are supposed to be active participants in the story. Seung Jae and Minwook would have both made better MCs solely from a storytelling perspective.

I mean, Geumhwa didn't even have any initiative or part in reuniting with Seung Jae, it was Minwook and Seung Jae (or redhead) who made it happen! Ugh I'm so mad lol.

The author also left out a lot of details that could have really enriched the plot. If it's a story about tattoos (like it says in the epilogue) then give us more details about Seung Jae's original tattoo, about the meaning of the artwork of his new one, etc. The story just felt so shallow in comparison to the depth it hinted at, and I'm mad we didn't get it.

All ranting aside tho, I did still enjoy it and I'm just mad because it was pretty good and had potential to be amazing.

but... the plot was just too thin.
also in chapter 9 (spoiler)

when Guemhwa has sex with the yakuza guy right after his ex raped him?!? just no...no...noooo....

I don't mind rape as part of BL, I'm really not even that picky about how realistic it is a lot of the time...but... seriously? there's a limit
