The thing is, Lariensa is just a little too sweet for her own good, which makes her an easy target for master manipulators like Sibel Noma Kahn. As Lariensa’s loyal friend, it’s up to Marilyn to save her from the boy who will one day ruin her life.

But Marilyn’s desperate attempts to circumvent Sibel only seem to pique his devilish curiosity. With the antagonist now suddenly interested in her, Marilyn sets out to foil Sibel's sinister plot to use her to get to Lariensa.

Charming but too juvenile for my taste

I came here for the yandere, and while he's got potential, the overall setup and generally the story-flow and all simply didn't click with me. Maybe I was too naive trying to find anything more substantial in what is basically a well done shojou, and still a shojou with tons of cliches and predictable plot twists. But my own tastes aside, there are good things to enjoy here, and Marilyn as a leading lady has got some spunk and is very likable. But for more serious yandere fare, this isn't quite what you are looking for.

It might be boring at first, but the story is really fun especially when Marilyn has to face an incident where she turns out to be liked by Lariensa's sister and Sibel's possessiveness.

Like a cheaper Beware the Villainess

You’ve got your four scumbag male leads and a FL who’s determined to save her innocent sweet bff from falling into their clutches. Basically the same sort of premise as Beware the Villainess except the art nor the story is as great.

Still an entertaining read, though. The facial expressions are funny, the side characters are a nice inclusion, and I’m wholeheartedly cheering for the female lead.

But dang, so far every day is like war trying to fend these terrible men off lol. I wonder if a decent actual male lead is gonna show up (or is the blue haired guy actually going to somehow do a 180 and not be a scumbag or something?) but would be equally happy seeing those four get their comeuppance in some way.

Ch. 33 update:
Addressing the comment below, I can’t say chapter 29 was that different from any other chapter other than the blue hair guy being slightly helpful instead of a creep. I’m still pretty skeptical about him turning into a decent man that respects people including women 😐

Ch. 42 update:
As if it wasn't clear from the series' image I guess, the blue-haired guy sure is the male lead and boy is he kind of a sociopath? Unfortunately I think this aspect of him actually not understanding how to be a normal person is going to be overlooked by our female lead just because he's nice to her in particular and also looks attractive :/

Ch. 48 update:
Okay so I kept reading 'cause I really do like Marilyn and her group of friends and how she has common sense and ridicules the crazy men, but it's become an "if I do this he'll kill them so I better do something so he won't" situation where she's already acting as if she's responsible for his actions, not to mention how she's accepted being stalked and her own life manipulated. The strong independent woman is no more, alas. It does seem like in the end the male lead will become a more harmless obsessive loving yandere instead of a murderous one, but yeah yandere leads are not for me. Dropped.

Only 9 chapters and I’m already bored. I thought it could maybe be funny but it isn’t. The characters are all extremely generic. The male leads are popular guys with bad personalities, for now 2 out of 4 have been introduced and we have the ridiculous tsundere and the typical jerk. Yay... I kept reading thinking the fl could be interesting but the stupid and completely preventable misunderstanding of the mcs dating when they actually “hate” each other was the last straw...

sigh an unoriginal and lame shoujo like the hundreds we’ve already read.
