Tanaka Hajime and Harada were leaders of the yakuza group called Yanase. They were wiped out in the conflict between the Yanase group and the Kawa-guchi. The Kawaguchi group thinks that they killed Tanaka Hajime and buried him. Tanaka Hajime was saved by Harada, though he has lost all his memory. Knowing nothing, as Harada asks him if its a lie, Hajime states why would he. Then is when Harada tells Hajime that they are lovers. Is this true?

incomplete redemption

I like the direction that the ending of this manga takes, but it doesn't change the fact that the ending is incomplete. It begins towards the redemption of Harada's character, but only hints at the beginning. I suppose this would be fine for an ambiguous ending if forgiveness and guilt hadn't been one of the central themes of the story. The story itself is quite ambitious and tries to tell a compelling story, but the ending felt very cut off.

It had potential, kept going great but everything collapsed to an 'ehh' with the last and the extra chapter

The story is good, it has a certain depth to it but it could've been waaay better if it had more chapters instead of the last chapter with that awkward open ending and the extra that helped filling in some gaps but still was a let down.
Enjoyable and interesting story but with that rushed ending, it left me with a mehh feeling along with feeling bad for the characters whom I liked so much.

Takes time to understand

It's only the second time I've read something from this author. I was lured in by the pretty artwork and yakuza tag. Rating this manga for me would be a 9/10. If we break that down, Ill say that the storyline is, as said by many, quite confusing at first. If you take time to re-read and read between the lines, you'll get to realize what's happening even by the first few chapters. The plot by itself wasn't particularly original (as Ive read probably thousands of BL already), but the ending was quite refreshing. I especially liked the ending. It was one of the few of the yakuza/yaoi tagged manga Ive read which had a very wholesome ending (note, just the ending). The feel of the story itself was twisted with a psychological inclination. It was a little dark with the abusive relationship because of how the main character was portrayed to not have any other choice (with his second chance, he wanted to experience being one, loving, and treasuring the uke despite knowing he was living a lie and forcing it on the uke). This also had a slight Stockholm tendency but it didn't actually end up going there (but was implied). I guess the reason why a lot disliked it is because it didn't end with the usual ending of most yaoi mangas - sex or eternal vow of love. That said (as Im trying my best not to spoil anyone further), if you want a slightly angsty manga with a desperate seme (with change of heart over time), then take time to read it. I think though, that the author could have done better to make this a better masterpiece (with more feelings in the characters).

So Hajime just forgave Harada? So sadd.... I wonder if Hajime's yakuza were the one who force Harada when he was younger. Or was it his leader ??? Hmmm... Anyways it still sad and I wished they had continued more and I wished Harada would punish him more for pretty much putting his whole family into the ground.

What a let down

Everything was great at first, but then some parts were like "what? I'm so confused". But the biggest disappointment was the huge open ending.
Like CJchan092 said the extra fills in some of the gaps, but not entirely.

Overall I was completely let down by the ending.

The story was kinda confusing. You have to re-read it at least two times to understand. And no, it isn't because you're stupid to understand it only once. I think the problem lies in the story itself. The progression and continuity of the sequences wasn't done well. I believe this problem should be fixed the editor but no, it wasn't.

Still, i guess it's a nice try. The story still makes sense...somehow. But the ending...I was like "Whuuuuut?" -.- Oh well, good thing there was an extra chapter to (somehow) fill in the gaps.

I really wished the glasses guy was the uke. I was hoping he'd get to be the uke, at least in the end...

Love her cover. Love her art. She has her all style of art.
Just so u know: The black hair guy is uke. Our guys both are manly, that's why I love BL with yakuza background 🙂
I find some line is hard too understand, kinda queer.
Overall, still worth a try. Read it.
