Description

In a small village, there is a legend about a person born from a sakura tree one thousand years ago. Though she appeared human in form, she could not understand love, and was therefore cruel. She was eventually destroyed. Now, the mythical Sakura tree is going to attempt to create human life once again. This time it is up to two high school students, the incredibly beautiful Tasuku and the love-allergic girl Honomi, to teach the Sakura Child about love. 1sh59

well i stumbled upon this when i wanted a new romance manga to read, as i had read the interesting ones already that i knew of. anywho it was a feel good manga for me and a nice little ride of comedy and romance. went too quickly tho, with the climax just throwing it all at you, and i think it could have worked better with another volume but eh.. main char is a handsome boy who is so handsome in fact, that he has to hide his face as to not get kidnapped or chased by girls (which has happened several times already) and his brother and sister are just as crazy about him as well. the chick is also gorgeous (surprise!) and so is some of the lesser chars. in fact, all the main characters seem to be amazingly pretty. not that unusual i know. well it's basically just club-fun for the most part, and it doesnt happen too much romance-wise between the to main characters.. not notably anyways(since if the girl falls in love she dies.. kinda) the ending, of course, was predictable enough.. truth be told i read it at first thinking it was a shoujo.. just like superior.. thinking "hey, shoujo might not be so bad after all", nope shoujo still aint my thing. either way i enjoyed this manga, definitely not a top 10 in my shelf but a worth read since it was so short. feel-good thing for me.

This story is adorable - I just like the main male/female lead a lot. The girl is very sweet and naive but in a non-ditzy annoying way. And the guy isn't too bad either, he generally cares for others, even if it's not so apparent in the beginning. I didn't expect much from the story actually, I thought it was going to go very slowly and drag on, but seeing as the manga is only 4 volumes total it had to pick up somewhere (which it did/is) and for that I think the pacing is perfect.

And in response to ultenth below

I don't think his reaction was that bad because he really cared for her as a best friend. Even if she grew to like him and pretended that she had no feelings, they both still cared a lot for each other and had fun together. She was originally his friend anyways, plus you can't help who you have feelings for.

^^ I'm just mentioning this because I didn't think the story was exactly "ruined", though it did show a little difference in his character, he probably should have been slightly mad.

The art is cute too 😀

Cute story, though a bit repetative. Main characters somewhat interesting, but the part where:

The "childhood friend" comes back, then declares her love and the whole situation that follows seemed broken to me. Given the way he has reacted before, The main character should have felt betrayed and been pissed that his "childhood friend' had been lying to him this whole time to stay close to him, and was really no better than the other girls that stalked him. really kinda killed the story for me.

This a light fluffy, humorous read. Honomi and Tasuki are really just too adorable. All the main characters are likable. The art is pretty and fits the mood of the story really well. The plot is fairly original imo. I think the only thing I dislike are the over the top brother complex siblings, but they're pretty minor characters. It's sad it's ending at 4 volumes, because as Verix said, the cuteness level went way up in the recent chapters. I don't know that I'd really call this a harem though. The girls chasing him seems like the shoujo-type idol thing, and aside from that it's more of a love triangle. So I wouldn't let that deter you if you dislike harem manga. Unless you hate innocent love or cute things, I'd check it out.

It's unique, funny and quirky.. but it's still sort of a harem manga. All the girls like the main character.
The main male character is beautiful and has tons of girls (and boys) going after him, so he is usually in disguise. He's tired of being chased around (his sister AND brother chase him around as well sigh ).
The main female character has "love" allergies, she gets pained and could even die from love.
They end up meeting the "sakura tree spirit" who promises to cure them both if they can teach the tree spirit what love is, what love entails. So they create and meet up in the "love club", where they stare at each other, go on dates, and eventually k-k-kiss??

It's an enjoyable read and I'd like to see how it'll all end.
At the start it's a bit chaotic, but from volume 3 on it's very very cute. Very promising manga.
