11 Volumes (Ongoing)

Really cool story, but i would watch the anime movies. They tell the complete story. Go to wikipedia to find the right chronological order to watch them. If not it can be quite confusing.
Quite an epic story. The romance plays a big part in this story and its deep and touching. The ending is good and overall I was happy i used my time on this.
Kara no Kyoukai is my long time favorite story. Actually, in my opinion, it is the best of all the Nasu's works. It has its unique eerie atmosphere, nicely done action and from time to time even some philosophical thoughts. You need to play attention to the story, because it is anachronistic and very confusing (which helps the overall theme and feeling of the series), but I had no problems understanding it. It's also one of those works which prove, that you don't need gigantic explosions, hundred characters and DBZ-like powers to create stunning battle scenes.
Definitely recommended, especially if you are fan of Kinoko Nasu's other works.
