the crime mystery aspect was nicely wrapped, but the contradictory conclusion it reached left it with unexpected plot holes for me.

I guess I'm stuck at the eugenics.

seemingly eugenics inference at least. the concept of -leveling hormones - despite being the culminating theme of the finale isn't explored at length, or maybe better yet I'm just befuddled by what it's trying to say. there's a not promising metaphor about making everybody equals on an appearance base and it might be a very very weird way to explain suppressants but its pointing otherwise by making the killer -a beta artificially turned alpha- break down crying, having an epiphany at this new and unheard notion. baaa baaa

mc's hope for the future is that everyone would undergo this process but at the same time the main characters themselves don't follow through with this... and justifiably so: they're planning to have more kids. so okay, I could have misunderstood how this works but still, throughout the story there are clear examples of alphas that can use their brains as not to hurt others regardless of their pheromones, social changes are definitely a possibility even without pills. then more glaringly it's forgetting class. take out the pheromones and power dynamics aren't going anywhere. maybe the slogans it this world are "omegas faces in high places" & "omegas can be bitch-bosses too" but mc's father would still have had the upper hand (money; underworld connections) and the entire story is set in an alpha prison where people are unknown test subject... alphas might have had more privileges but pheromones don't seem the determining factor in inequality clearly. in short, why is it trying to erase the omegaverse (༎ٹ༎)

this could have been the communist manifesto, but alas it was fascist (joking)

Consent issues due to the bottom being the only omega in an all-alpha prison, dubious consent during heats, and the top being overall dishonest and lying about his identity.

I love the age gap

I was reading this blindly and hardly understand some of the scenes and make it sense. Regardless, it was a good read and I love the age gap between. It’s kind of new to me since most of the scenes happened inside the jail. The sexy scenes were hot as well. Just have to mention that the baby is so cute.

good omegaverse story that keeps your attention from start to finish

The majority positive ratings on this reflects the type of story this was. I really enjoyed it!! If you ignore some stuff and some potential plotholes then its really good (I mean, minor stuff such as the fictional prison system/rules where Iri and Kiyo are in, other aspects etcetera). What really shined was always the writing, the characters and art. Were all those three things absolute perfection? No, but I really enjoyed the series.
The side stories were great too and I'm glad it was a happy ending. Additionally I want to say that even though the omega uke had a crybaby personality, they never actually annoyed me? I liked his character and thought he was cute. I would also say that there were several funny moments during the Wolves Behind Bars but would not add a label of comedy to it.

**The plot and writing. **
I think it was great. The story really had you interested from start to finish. Was never boring, never did I have a thought such as "damn I have to force myself to finish this....let me just drop this story". Some writing/plot aspects could have been better but really minor stuff. The relationship between Kiyo and Iri had a good development. They were cute to each other. I think maybe the misunderstanding toward the end of the main story was like LMAO stoppp just tell him the truth but it was nessecary.
The ending was so cute....and how cute they were with each other was nice to see...
**The art. **
I really liked it. I also liked the character designs. Yes, some aspects could have been better (such as faces not being the artist's strength) but when the writing is good and characters such as them you can ignore that. What they lacked in strength they shined more in other aspects (such as the sex scenes). You know, another work I can compare this story/art to is A Painter Behind the Curtain where the weakness is also how the author/artist draws the face BUT excells story/writing wise and in other aspects such as the sex scenes.
**The smut scenes. **
Okay these were really good the ones between Kiyo and Iri. The dirty talk was great too lmao. One aspect I wish that was better was the ahem....cum....it had a yellow tint that I kept thinking to myself "it looks like pee lmao"

This story had a decent crime-mystery plot, that made the story more than just some ABO smut. The characters were all likeable and diverse, I especially liked the MC who grew a lot in character throughout the story. The comedic instances with all the misunderstandings and miscommunication took away from the atmosphere and flow, but it was an enjoyable read.
