Every story was the same, uke meets seme, gets deflowered, the end. Heck, they all looked alike. The only chapters that are still fresh in my mind are that of biker dude and the last one with the psychopath (Which was morbid with the bunny). Anyways, the stories were forgettable except the last one cuz of the poor bunny ;(

If you're an animal activist you might want to stay clear of the last chapter at all costs. It is pretty gruesome.

I was actually irritated with all the stories. I don't mind non-con or cliches, of which this manga has much of - but whatever this manga tries to do it does SO badly.

The last story had potential to be interesting, but I think that was accidental.

I thought all the animal cruelty was going to last for a long time!! Thank goodness it was over fast. i love animals, and animal cruelty is something i can't take. the decent ones (i suppose) are 1-2, 7, and 8. it might have had basic raping, but it was overall a decent story i suppose. THE RABBIT AND FISH WERE INNOCENT!! DONT KILL THEM NEXT TIME!!

Short stories...

For what it was, it was good. Most of the stories were really entertaining and unique, and the characters were refreshing as well. The only story I didn't like was the sweet violin story, that was a bit poor and I didn't read the one with the university professor. The ones I did read though were worth it and I recommend.
The reason this gets an 8 and not a 10 is representative of the manga's wasted potential. The stories were pleasant one shots but in my opinion would have made really good stories if they were lengthened - even if just a bit.
'Getting close to you with the sound of my flute' in particular was cut very short.

And I don't mean only arousing in the adult way, but in many other emotional ways: this collection runs the gamut from LOVE to HATE with reviewers; to me, that says I must read it because it elicits such strong emotions!

I fall into the camp that loved this collection wildly and ionately! Most of the stories were extreme, exciting, creative, and delivered with clippy pacing; I still think about the themes and meanings today, and I read this collection quite a while ago. If I find myself telling someone about a one shot, I know it's done it's job of communication, impacting. The art was the kind I could look at again and again. This is not a collection I could read fast; I had to read it several times because there was so much within and between the s.

2nd story: Huh?
3rd story: Hmm...
4th story: Ok.
5th story: Poor fish.
6th story: That was quick.
7th story: BUNNEH! D;

So to sum it up, I cared more for the animals than the characters. If I had to choose, probably the violin one was a cut above the rest. His fantasies whilst talking were fairly humorous.

the first story turned me off on the spot. I mean, seriously, this is not even typical, this is just plain weird. boy gets raped, decides he might as well sell his body, old men tries to rape him too, rapist #1 comes to rescue, boy goes home with him, they live happy ever after, the end, AND EVERYTHING IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS. Oh well, at least it helped to create some new private jokes between me and a friend!

Pushy men going after teenage boys

My favorite story was about the demon. It was sweet and cool because of the fantasy aspect. I thought the story about the violin was funny. The main character was zoning out all the time, having so many naughty fantasies! haha. The story of the motorcycle was funny, too. It looked like that boy was having a little too much fun on the man's motorcycle. The story about the heir was so-so. The story about the fish really bothered me because of the rape and trauma that was just twisted. The story about the corporation president was a little like that, and the story about the knight was disturbing because of it's violence, especially to a poor, defenseless animal! All in all, not my favorite collection of oneshots, but at least I found one really good story and a couple of funny ones.

Wasurerarenai Yoru to Hikikaeni is a volume of oneshots (first story is two chapters long) about older men infatuated with teenage boys. It seems that quite a few people have given this volume a very bad rating. It's not fantastic, nor is it quite as bad as they would have you believe. I think it's important to that Takakura has written her stories about older men who are absolutely infatuated with the younger guys. A lot of the protagonist's actions don't necessarily make sense as we would see it, but these are oneshots and these men are obviously not thinking logically.

Overall, the summary and cover of this series gives off more of an impression than what is actually demonstrated in the book. It's still worth a light read though, especially if you're into the type of stories Takakura has written. The art starts off a little worse for wear, but starts to shine in the end. Take the stories at face value, and don't waste your time giving them any critical thought. They weren't written for that purpose. Wasurerarenai is a pretty average Yaoi title. Give it a go.

I have to disagree with the 1st comment.. yea it was typical.. but the 1st story ws really sweet and cute... it didn't drag on with the "bad boy" being such an @$$hole like the others... they were both cute & sweet.
The 2nd story was cute too... but TOO SHORT =( I wish that one was longer...
OMG the 3rd stort was the CUTEST THING EVER! Talk about love at 1st sight!! I wish that one was longer too!!!
LMAO the 4th story "he's so cute it's criminal" Sakimoto has a very big imagination XD
The 5th story was a little creepy though...
The 6th Stry was okay I guess... short... nothing much to say about it...
The 7th story was... interesting... two knight secretly love each other but act like they hate each other... then in a blink of an eye... they're making love =P

As you can probably tell, I'm reading the story as I'm typing, so that's why I may act kinda excited XD
All in all, it was a good read, I give it a 10/10
If you want to read short, cute yaoi stories, this is it!
