Wow FuukaiHimukai you sure gave me a lot thanks=] i've actually already read Ao no Exorcist, En ant, Nabari no ou, Double Arts, Fullmetal Alchemist and Pandora Hearts and they are exactly what I am looking for. I've been wanting to read Amatsuki so maybe this will give me the desire to. Also I'm already reading Bleach and thats what I want also plus i've also heard about Basara so i'll look into it. Thanks so much to everyone and keep them coming 😀 😀
Try Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter, both from the same mangaka, hxh is a good story but it's currently on hiatus.

Lol. I think that the person who wrote that comment mentioned the wrong part of their relationship. XD The antagonist and protagonist fall in love with each other without actually knowing who the other is. And yes, in their real lives, they both want to kill each other.
I really enjoyed Basara, and highly recommend it. 🙂 I've reread it many times.

I totally understand what you want. This is one of my favorite tropes because it results in lots of Fo Yay for everybody! Check out tvtropes.org's section on this. It will prove helpful, I hope. Otherwise, you guys have listed a lot of my recs already... These may be more of initial opponents, I'm not sure if they exactly fit.
Saijou no Meii - not a lot of action/fighting unless it's fighting to save lives...but main character attracts people with his skills, charisma, and personality
Vinland Saga - fighting skills and stubbornness
Replica - ditto, plus the amazing skill to NOT DIE, surprisingly difficult in their world
