So, I'm wondering why there isn't a discussion thread for this. I figured I'd make one. I mean, after all, there should always be a discussion thread. Otherwise, no one can discuss things.So, to start out with, How many anime references have you noticed without being told? I'm only on chapter 110, but i personally recognized about.......29 references without being told what they were. this is in the manga, by the way. I haven't started watching the anime yet, though i will soon. 61k1c

I know I have seen a lot, but i do not take particular attention to the numbers. My favorite one was the Train man one. 😃

I don't know how many there were, but Hinagiku in Lacus Clyne cosplay singing "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" was one of the better ones.

That and "what kind of gundam is he!?".

im only up to chapter 86, mainly because foolrulez is unreadable... seriously, they get the over all point across, but this isnt the type of manga where just doing that is ok.

as for references, i get almost every one of them, this is a sad manga for me, because the more you know the more pathetic you feal.

I think FoOLRulez make good scans I have read much more horrible scans like Negima (a few chapters are a pain to read) and if its suck you mustn´t read it buy the voulume

I know that around chapter 86's and early 90's that it was horrible due to being inexperienced and we are planning to fix it

I think your translations are actually pretty good. There's a few grammar mistakes sometimes but it's definitely readable. Maybe it helps that I live with people don't speak 100% perfect English (heck, I don't even). Only gripe is that not as much Hayate comes out now because you juggle series but there's a limit to how much I can gripe.

I never paid attention to which scanlators had bad scans. I just read through it. I would LOVE to go through and edit all the bad grammar but I wouldn't be able to clean up the pages, so it bothers the heck out of me. Oh well.

I think the scans are fine. Favorite references is always the gundam references. Especially the early one where Klause says "what kind of gundam is that?" love it.

Well I know that pretty much all of vol 9 was full of mistakes along with first few chapters of Vol 10
But you've got to understand that it was a 2 man team for 85 and we were still developing in Vol 9
I also have improved on translating since vol 9, although I'm not sure whether you guys could tell the difference. You should have seen the first translation of 85. It was very stiffy and pretty much unreadable. I will fix vol 9 and the first 2 chapters of vol 10 as they are probably the most important part of Hayate.
Please, if we're doing anything wrong or you don't like it for some unknown reason, do tell. I can take criticisms as long as they have reasons

Well... trying to sorta get back onto the topic, how do you guys feel about the second season coming out?

The OVA that just came out was pure fanservice and a taste to see what J.C. Staff can do. This is a change of the anime production company when Synergy SP did it for the first one. Now IMO, they look more... shall we say 'fitting' for their ages now? Last time they seemed a little older, but it's a long time since I watched it. Only problem right now would be the color choices are some using a radical colour, but everyone will discuss it when it finally airs.

And the manga (thanks to FoOlRulez for current and McDonald for later ones) has just been great. Just finished Hina's birthday arc, Onsen arc and the White Day arc which was just fantastic. Of course, it's still really cute to see them like this. Preferably, I like Nishizawa and HInagiku as my favourite characters currently. Otherwise talking about the later chapters, I'd have to add in Athena-san.
My rant about that below:

One of my favourite arcs so far and I kept crying manly tears for Hayate. It was so epicly cute and awesome that Hayate's first love would have totally made wish it could continue, but sadly we all know how this flashback would've ended up. Even then, they're starting to go to Greece, so I'd LOVE to see if Athena and Hayate will ever meet up there. Even the RAWS so far haven't got Hayate and Athena to meet again. Awww... I really want them to see each other again so I won't have to cry about Hayate's past....
IMHO, End of the World was the most beautiful arc within the series so far

More like a question hope its not annoying, my niece loves manga and anime i try to keep her away from anything to ecchi are smutty because she's only 13, does anyone here read this manga thats around this age are knows if its not full of smut, because i noticed it has harem as listed as a genre. i don't read these types of manga and so don't know much. but she's dying to watch the anime and read the manga. 😳
