I know there are a lot of topics on this, but most of the recommendations seem to include Romance/Harem, which is a genre that I don't really like. 6q6gx

So I'm asking for help here.

I'm looking for a manga/anime/light novel/web comic, that consist of several factors:

Protagonist is transported to another world or playing a VRMMORPG

  • Doesn't matter if reincarnation/suddenly summoned
  • The Gender/Race/Human/Monster of the Protag doesn't matter
  • Preferably not an asshole/very arrogant
  • Preferably from our world to another
  • Prefer Game Elements, but fine without.

Absolutely no Romance/Harem/Romantic Subplot.

  • No romance involving the main Protag. Side characters are fine.

Stuff that I'm okay with:
Slime Tensei Monogatari (Novel)

Still trying out, waiting to see where it goes
Tenseisha wa Cheat o Nozomanai

I tried, but didn't really like
Sword Art Online. - The main characters. Didn't like them.

So... that's about it.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Your not going to find ANYTHING without some kind of romantic subplot, dude. Even the ones you listed, have them.

pretty difficult to find something that complies to all those restrictions, but you can try to check out:

Summoned slaughterer aka Yobidasareta Satsurikusha {Novel} (MC is pretty damned ruthless and kinda arrogant)
Ubau Mono Ubawareru Mono {Novel} (MC is pretty damned ruthless but NOT arrogant, not typical)
Dragon Bloodline {Novel} (MC is a bit of a battle maniac but thats about it)
Mushoku Tensei {Novel and Manga} (Romance and harem, but ed that is a pretty good story IMO)
Kenja no Mago {Novel} (MC is pretty ignorant of the other worlds common sense, a bit of romance)
World Teacher - Isekaishiki Kyouiku Agent {Novel} (MC is awesome lol, romance and harem almost non existent so far but may change in the future)
Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyusoukyoku {Novel and Manga} (I haven't really read much of it)

since I have pretty much only been reading novels I dont really know of any manga

...Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? {Novel,Anime,Manga}... maybe 😕

Nobunaga no Chef:

  • focuses on modern cooking and its impact on the historical world around them;
  • Protagonist has a mental hindrence, or advantage (I think it contributes to the normalcy of the timeline) depending on perspective;
  • realistic slow romance subplot;
  • romance has cultural obstacles.

Only one i think of is kumo desu ga nani ka?
Mc reincarnated to game world
Has moments of arrogence but quickly regrets it
Has game elements
No romance mc does self monolog 99% of the time
Everyone is against mc for 90% of the novel
Has manga but not well done in my opinion i would suggest stick to novel

You won't be able to find any manga of these categories without romance in it. And if there are any like those I don't think they are famous.

Try
The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor(Romance is in-existent at moment.)

Only Sense Online
It's cute, the setting is similar to Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki with the MC going for Archer although everyone tells him it's useless and being well appreciated for his cooking skills/potion making skills. The main character is a guy but his game character is that of a girl (he didn't want it that way though) so everyone kind of mistakes him as one (he somewhat gave up on correcting them) and it doesn't look as if it will go anywhere near romance/harem.

Tensei Shitara Ken deshita
MC resurrected as a sword in a fantasy world with game-like features. He's a bit arrogant though and starts travelling with a cat-eared beastgirl. No romance so far.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken apparently has harem but I don't really see that so far in the manga? Its plot seems to be similar to Slime Tensei Monogatari. Might be worth a try.

I'm thirding Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? because I've read both the manga and novel and enjoyed it a lot.

you could try Hai to Gensou no Grimgal (Novel), it has romance in the genres but i have not seen any as of the current translated chapter of the novel. the manga is not getting translated though so you would either have to read the novel or watch the anime.
