I am looking for a manga i red back in period (roughly!) 2009 - 2011 But which now I can't find for the life of me, so I am asking for your guidance!

It's one of those rather calm shonen/seinen romance manga with nice drawing style, a la Pajama Kanojo, Mizuki Kawashita's works, etc.

Setting is high school.
It's about a straight-laced honor student boy (black hair, glasses) who aims to be a doctor, and he has a crush on his neighbor and childhood friend, a genki girl who is his complete opposite. she has long blonde hair in a tail, and her hair is tied with a long sort of rope, like traditional japanese charms.
I think she does martial arts (Judo, karate or similar), and she herself is interested this guy who is famous martial artist.

This guy shows up later in story but is quite a decent guy, respectful of MC, and sort of bows out and says he isn't interested in her.

In the end she decides to become a police officer and cuts her hair short.

I hope I gave enough info. I tried to comb through the entire archive from 2015 - 2005 and couldn't find it... 🙁

It's probably Sakurasaku Shoukougun... It's from 2013, but apart from that everything fits.
