Does anybody know of a site or a source where it lists when a series next chapter is supposed to be released. And if you know or not do you think this would be a good feature for this site? 3x4ru

By "publication" do you mean Japanese publication or American publication? For the former, series that are serialized in magazines have dates that show when the next chapter will be released in both the magazine and the magazine's official site.

For American publication... erm, check their sites? They don't release by chapter, so yeah. Though I get the feeling you are talking about something else entirely since I don't see how a "publication calendar" would be necessary or useful for MangaUpdates, seeing as most check for scanslation releases rather than raws~

I hope you don't mean scanslation releases... O_O

no the magazine is exactly what I meant I hadn't thought of the magazine having a site so thank you.

Here is a large database of publisher and magazine information, included in this information is the date the magazine publishes on (IE: the 4th of every month).

It's usually up to date and if not, the magazine websites are also there.

navigate to the magazine title, and more than likely there will be an official mag site link for you to follow (don't always trust what's on the comipedia page itself, in case there's any recent publication release changes that they haven't got around to updating).
For many, as an example, you'll see something like: 毎月28日 (aka every month on the 28th)
though upon going to the Weekly Jump site, they provide a more straight forward: 2010.Vol29 6/21

Note: as much as they list all that is being printed in the issue series-wise, don't expect any magazine site to provide you with a chapter number, as none do. THAT likely would be where the usefulness of an English page/site providing a list of new series chaps along with the actual chapter number alongside it would come in.

(though, just thinkin', maybe a decent chunk of groups may find that providing that info may incur to them what normally occurs with anime subbing groups working on popular series, that being a swarm of readers with that skewed/improper feeling of entitlement, mass posting their whining regarding when the new chapter will be out, only resulting in pissing off the group in general. At least that's a possible outcome, so maybe it's the best for everyone if those who really want to know stick to just visiting the japanese site themselves 🤢 Just my .02 )

Addendum: if it's regarding a series that is up-to-date scanlating wise (magazine source,o'course), most times if you look at the bottom of the last page, the publishing date for the next issue will usually be listed there.
