I read a manga a few years ago that I liked and the first 3 or 4 volumes were available for check out at the local library. Recently I've been unable to the title I thought it was Kamui but the 2 manga I found that have Kamui in the title are not the one I was looking for. I will describe I the best I can what I can from volume one maybe it will click with someone. 4f46m

The boy in the manga is cursed to remain a boy though 13 years have past making him 18. He cares for and is determined to save his childhood friend a girl born with the ability to control water. The only things he own are the clothes on his back a special knife and a large white bird (I think it was some kind of eagle). I almost forgot he has a large handmade red hat that was made by the girl and given to him on his birthday.

I'll be checking back each day for responses and I'll also do some thinking maybe I can piece together more clues or if I'm fortunate the title will come to me.
