I am looking for some new series (2008, 2009) that have an interesting premise, nice art and at least one chapter scanlated. 2r2c5n
pretty much any genre or story is fine, but not anything really gory and no hentai or ecchi. Sex/smut is okay as long as it's not the center of the whole manga.

Toshokan Sensou: Love & War is a 2008 shoujo series with one chapter scanlated, following the adventures of a young female recruit to a Library Defense Force in a future setting where libraries have armed themselves to fight censorship. I personally think it's awesome, but I'm biased because I've seen the less shoujo-y anime version, "Toshokan Sensou" - which is also great, so watch it if you can.

Maou - Juvenile Remix - this is a very good shounen. I don't see why it's not being scanlated

"Bungaku Shoujo" to Shi ni Tagari no Douke - light novel is good and I am sure the manga is going to be good
Torikago Gakkyuu - if you know the author...
Flat (AOGIRI Natsu) - slice of life comedy
Seiken no Katanakaji - also adapted from a good light novel. Anime is going to be aired in a few months.

Amanchu! is absolutely brilliant, but then again, Amano Kozue pretty much has the slice of life genre down.
Otoyomegatari is fairly unique, unfortunately, but I agree that it is quite good.
Other decent choices include Billy Bat, Coffee Time and maybe even Manabiya.
