Wow... that's a waaays back... the first manga I ever read was Bleach, a shonen manga...
But My first SHOUJO was Hana Kimi! I checked out and finished the series via my public library 🙂
I'd wait WEEKS for ppl to turn in a volume so I could continue it! Lol
Very cute, not the best shojou out there; but could've chosen worse. glad it was my first.

Cardcaptor Sakura~~~~! Even to this day I love it. Hm....I haven't read it in a while. I'm feeling nostalgic...

I had a really good shojou start with Fruits Basket. ^^ Have only read very few shojous that are as good as Furuba.

mermaid melody - pichi pichi pitch! i thought it was so cool back in 2nd grade, but now i read one piece and say " cant velieve i actually liked that crap". no offense to author, just that their stories are SO CORNY.

I can't my exact first manga, I don't know if I read scanlations first or bought...I think I bought Fruits Basket up to 12 after watching the anime. Then I bought 4 volumes of Marmalade Boy and 2 from Anatolia Story 🙂
Some of my first scanlation ones were Kaze Hikaru, Immortal Rain, Snow Drop, and Hana Yori Dango. 🙂
Really want to buy all of Immortal Rain one day 😀

My first shoujo was Fruits Basket and it introduced to a wonderful world!
Mine was Heart no Kuni no Alice :3
The only complaint I have about it being my first is that it was dropped and I could never finish it! 😔
The first one I've actually completed is Moe Kare!!.
