Whoops, I forgot to end the previous poll over the weekend... This week's poll was from me. The topic on hand is whether notifications, alerts, and/or calls will be noticed by you while you're sleeping, as alarms still go through the silenced mode 313f5j

You can submit poll ideas here
http://mangaupdates.conexionsite.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: You die due to a world catastrophe and suddenly find yourself back in the past a few years before it happened. Do you...
Choices:
Have as much fun as possible before the catastrophe happens - votes: 786 (18.7%)
Let the catastrophe happen but try to prepare better and live through it - votes: 1841 (43.9%)
Try to prevent the catastrophe - votes: 1570 (37.4%)
There were 4197 total votes.
The poll ended: July 28th 2020

I've been seeing a lot of stuff about the anime for Japan Sinks 2020 recently. Maybe I should give it a shot

No, but it is still within hearing distance (in case of a call) because I use it as my alarm. I turn the phone off if I don´t need an alarm and don´t want to be awakened by a call.

Japan Sinks 2020 is one of the biggest artistic anime failures in years and thus amazing. A rare case of so bad it´s good with anime. 🤣/10 My review: https://mangaupdates.conexionsite.com/showtopic.php?tid=122730&page=1#post778670

I use my phone to listen to audiobooks while I try to fall asleep. That's the only reason I keep it close by.

Yes, but in silence mode.

I always put it on silence mode. I turned on the vibration though, so I can still know if there's chat notification.

What made me surprised a little bit is, so far, there are at least 4% or more people who did the polling that don't own a cellphone. I know there are some people who choose not to own one, but it's very few. Of the people I've met, I only know one person who don't own a cellphone at all. It's really amazing.

I'm from a generation who have experienced the times of with and without cellphone. But I can't imagine a life without my phone now. How can I my friends and family without it?

Yes, but it is in a silenced mode ...but only to be able to check the time, at any moment. I should get a decent clock, with a red (and thereby "inoffensive" ) display, at which time I'd happily just turn it off, when I go to bed.

Edit: I never answer a call, made while I'm in bed. On principle.

Technically it's on vibrate not silence but it is on.

No, but it is still within hearing distance.

My phone stays far enough away from me that I won't get burned by it. Yes, this has happened to me before. I was lucky it wasn't anything serious and healed well on it's own.

Yes, and it is not silenced
Same with Trimutius above, due to the nature of my job I need to keep it near me and not in silenced mode.
I put the phone on my work desk beside the bed, within 1 meter from me.

I had one bad experience sleeping with silenced phone when I was still in training, and let's just say I swear I won't ever let my phone in silenced again when sleeping.

It's my alarm. I should buy a battery alarm because it's not a good habit to fall asleep with your phone.

No it's not nearby because it makes me force my body to wake up and close the alarm.
