I love manga, anime, and a whole of nerdy things. Normally I don't look the type and though it sometimes surprises people I wouldn't be embarrassed about it. I'm damn proud of who I am and what I like. 5p2c4t

Well i dunno abt bein embarrassed but i dun think any of my frnds no tht i read manga ...... heck the only frnd who knew i read manga was the only other dude i no who also read manga but he moved away last year so well other thn my family and close relatives no one nos i read manga but thts not coz i am embarrassed but coz no one ever asked and i never told em and well yeah i d b embarrassed to tell any1 i enjoy some shoujo .... bein a 18 year old dude with a reputation of bein the smart intellectual type which aint all the true tho =)
Heck no. i totally love it when they find out i love manga/anime xD and that i'm a total bookworm 😀

I don't walk around holding a sign like "I am a manga reader!" but I don't mind telling my friends about it. If only I could convince them to read too...

I feel like I am not the norm at all. No one knows I read manga. Where I live, only social outcasts are in to "that Japanese crap." I'm not your typical reader by any means. I am not ashamed, I just keep my love to myself.

and everybody knows that i read it .. my parents too
besides manga is so popular in my country ... indonesia 😁
It depends on which friends. If I know they're nerds, then I don't keep it a secret because whatever sick hobby I have probably won't hold a candle to whatever disturbing things they do in the sanctity of their parent's basement.
Now, in a professional environment such as my workplace or the local bar, I keep my hobby to myself. 🤢

This hobby doesn't hurt anybody in my life (yet) so there's nothing to be ashamed about it.
