I am looking for a good consistent way to figure out which manga volumes contain which chapters and vice versa (which manga chapters belong to which volumes). So far this site is the closest thing I have found, but it doesn't seem entirely accurate for some manga I've checked. 1l6827

For example, when I check Chainsaw Man's releases, it claims that none of the chapters belong to any volume number. But I am able to read Chainsaw Man volumes.

Also, when I check the series page it says there are 11 volumes.

Is there something I'm missing? Is the information just not up-to-date or entirely accurate?

Thank you in advance for any help.

The information here is updated by the base. For most manga, the chapters come out one at a time weekly/monthly/bimonthly/etc in magazines before being bound into a "volume". If the chapters don't have an associated volume that means no one updated in this data base or there's not enough chapters to make a volume.

Feel free to edit the information if you know that it's been updated. :)

Ah I see. Thank you for the response. Would you happen to know of a good way to find out which volumes contain which chapters? I am specifically trying to figure that out for Blue Giant Supreme right now, but haven't been able to find this information anywhere.

There are 88 chapters across 11 volumes so my assumption would be that there are 8 chapters per volume but I know the amount of chapters per volume isn't always consistent like that so I'm not sure if that's safe to assume.

When I'm trying to figure this out, I usually go to a Japanese digital manga site (such as renta.papy.co.jp ) and search for the title of the manga (copying the original Japanese title off the Manga Updates page). There is typically an option or button for a "free sample" of the manga that includes the first few pages, and these first few pages typically contain the Table of Contents page if the manga has one. So for the manga you are asking about, I'd browse to renta.papy.co.jp/renta/sc/frm/item/125304/ and click the "top button" (the one above the yellow button with the points) to load the free sample. For example, I can see from the Table of Contents page in Volume 3 that chapters 17-24 were included in that volume, while Volume 11 includes 81-88. You can check all the volumes this way.

mastressalita way is the exact way to find out.

If you can't find it on renta, you can take a longer way, which is to go to the publisher (some publishers list chapters in the volumes, which means your search can end here, if not), search for the story using the alternative names listed in manga updates, look for sites that sell the volume you're interested in that have previews/table of contents.

Pretty much the same as mastressalita said, but only if you don't have a sell site available.
