I am a yaoi and shounen-ai fan. I've read so much already.Actually I never tried to read shoujo,josie,shounen,seinen and the other genres.I just like yaoi,but that's why I wanna read something different.I wasn't sure if I should've placed this in the shoujo/josei or shounen/seinen.So,if you could help me out^^ 6y22f

I'd like to read something that's about :

-Being deaf,blind or other disabilities
-Being homeless,poor,no place to go to
-Being a drug addict,or alcoholist,other addictions
-Having a dark secret
-Tramatic pasts
-Illnesses,about to die because of something
-Being sick in the head
-Animals
-Anorexia,weight loss,something like that
-Self-harm
-Being suicidal

I think those things are all kind of Angst 🙄

I second Kuroshitsuji (dark secret, traumatic past). The mangaka also draws yaoi, and you can see hints of it in her style, so you'll probably find it easier to read through.

Life - self-harm

Full Moon wo Sagashite - dark secrets, traumatic pasts, illness, suicide

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Onikakushihen (and related series) - dark secrets, traumatic pasts, sick in the head, self-harm

MARS was the one that made me like shoujo, you should try it too - it has the dark secrets, the trauma - you name it.
