I don't tend to rate many series as a 10 (and those which I do generally don't qualify as "light"), so let's just say that these are series I consider to be well worth reading:

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou - certainly a must-read for any fan of light-hearted slice of life series.

Yotsubato! - a solid '10', pure comedy. It's ongoing, but it doesn't matter, because there's no plot arc. There's a continuity, things that happened are referred to again, but everything is in the moment. 'Today is the most enjoyable day.'
