Where do you go look for programs to study aboard? 263218

I really want to go to Japan and my school doesn't offer that program. I've asked and my counselor just told me to check online. But how do I know that it's real and not a scam.

If you know of any programs that you are 100% sure that it's real and not a scam, please let me know.

I want to to do an Intensive Language Program to Japan.

But I'm actually very open to any other East Asia Countries.

Well, you should talk to your adviser/counselor if you want help. Sure, your school doesn't offer the program but I'm pretty sure they could help you with things like that and direct you to the proper places to look at.

YFU ( aka Youth for Understanding) and WEP are very good organisations.

My mom went with YFU to the USA in 1979 so they have a lot of experience and they have programs all around the world: http://www.yfu.org/

WEP is a little bit younger but it's also a good organisation however it isn't as big as YFU so it might not be in your country: http://www.wep.org/

P.S.: if you want to go to Japan, both organistions expect you to have studied the language (both speaking and writing) for at least one year + you have be younger than 18 at the day of departure
