Mnn better than some guy that read manga for the better half of his life.
OT: less icons = no crazy cool design with the desktop icons

Debatable.
T'would depend on your definition of good, for one.
Maple Story is way lamer than manga, anyway.

Again, I don't get what the problem is (as in to cry over)
I don't see why you cant have desktop icons just because the programs are installed on a separate HDD.

I love using images from Omega 2-D's website for my desktop.

I can't afford to put things into my desktop....
All my programs are installed into a separate hard drive cause i use a SSD as main drive T_T
http://i52.tinypic.com/e6t3d0.png I don't use windows so I don't really know how it works, but wouldn't it totally negate the purpose of a SSD if you didn't put your programs on it? I mean, the primary reason most people buy a SSD is to get faster seek and random-read times, which would mean you put your applications in it to launch them faster.
For example (I use Linux/BSD), I tend to put my Root, Boot, Swap and other system-related partitions on my SSD and have my regular Home partition reside on a standard 7200rpm HDD. That way I get fast boot and my apps in the Root partition launch instantaneously, while my regular files like images, templates, music, videos, etc in the Home partition benefit from the larger space on the HDD and don't wear out the SSD due to constant re-writing.
Wouldn't most people want a similar setup on their system, regardless of OS?
Or do you mean you have different s/installs on each drive (one for work and one for play, maybe?)

Old desktop I use for compiling, programming, application bastardization and other boring/serious stuff.

finally I can see it again, I had too much stuff on my desktop and only cleaned it just for the shot xD
There's nothing to see here. Proceed with what you were doing or throw rainbows at random pedestrians.
