Anime/Manga where ALL the characters are wholy robotic, cyborgs are ok as long as they dont have faces. The faceless part is the important bit but they can be humanoid. 5a4z43
While we are at it anyone know one with peaceful aliens that arent humanoids, no cat girls and space elves that is. Once more humanoids are ok if they are wookies or similiar.
Dont hesitate to give suggestions they are all appreciated.

Maybe Tanabata no kuni? It sort of fits, but the aliens used to be human so I'm not sure...and Gantz has some relatively peaceful (depending on your point of view) aliens,
and theres one arc where the aliens are in their home world. However most are found on earth and they're only peaceful until the mc's start attacking them....then they really aren't peaceful at all.....but the aliens aren't humanoid so thats a plus . Sorry I don't know any that exactly fit your specifications...

perhaps Blame! for the robotics bit. I mean yeah, they've got faces but they are those creepy noh mask like faces. And I guess technically they aren't really robots or cyborgs either. That's all I can think of that even comes close. Sorry.
Sarcasm just doesn't work over the internet.
I don't think there is something like that at all, since usually at least a single human character is necessary to establish a sort of connection between the reader and the story, but maybe someone is gonna prove me wrong, let's hope for that. If you want something like a story that it is told from a robot perspective and where robots play an important role, I can suggest you to read Pluto. But they have faces, they're quite similar to humans to be honest. Sorry for not being very helpful.
I can only think of Kyubei from Madoka Magica but I doubt it's what you want (and the "pacific" part is pretty subjective).

So you give me another from Urasawa Naoki, I will have to pick this one up to. And you are probably right in it not being any with a robotic only cast.
To all of you the no human specification was for the alien request to, thanks for the suggestion though.

Hotel, all the characters are robotic since there's only one character and it's a sentient hotel...
Anyway this is one of the best manga I've read.

You should try the anime Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and its sequel (or the movies). it deals greatly with cyborgs robots and human identity, though they do have faces.
Here is the setting taken from wiki :
The series takes place in the near future, where many people can become cyborgs with prosthetic bodies. Primarily set in the fictional Japanese city of New Port, the series follows the of Public Security Section 9, a special-operations task-force made up of former military officers and police detectives.

Agreed and a good example also because except for in the beginning all humans are extinct.

This is pretty popular in Italy (especially the anime). I try not to spoil it too much but I don't think it fits at least for 2 reasons, since:
1- Chobin can be considered as a chivalrous prince fighting for justice, but not a pacifist. Unless with "pacifist" EternalNightmare just meant "good guy".
2- Chobin is only a kid, the adult form of its race is humanoid, like you can see looking at his mother: http://www.hitparadeitalia.it/cartoni/immagini/chiarastella.jpg
Still, it's a very good story, I watching it as a kid. 🙂

Er... Why are you speaking about pacifist aliens? It was peaceful...
The only one I can think of is Centaur's Worries. There are no aliens, but the serpentines would qualify for a peaceful non-humanoid race. (The first serpentine character appears in chapter 14.)

Sorry I used the wrong word. I just meant it's not peaceful since he's involved in a war, despite him being the good guy. I didn't explain it well, sorry.

No, my fault for formulating it badly. Meant something more in line with non antagonistic. Reference to what i said about no cats and elfs. Because most often the humanoids once are the protagonists and the non humanoids the antagonists.
