Felt like it needed a few more chapters, but I am content with it. 473m4h
I am not sure if it is safe to put my thoughts on how it ended because your thread title was rather ambiguous as to whether or not it implied that it was on Gantz ending itself, or that it ended so I am putting a spoiler..
Kurono should've died killing him ;( it felt a bit forced the happy ending but whatever, better than most manga endings, definitely going to re-read this, one of the best mangas I have ever read and ever will read.

Didn't realize it has been 13 years, but now when I think about it I begun reading this when the first three chapters where out. Time flies.
I agree that the story become weaker by the space ship arc, but the series as a whole is excellent. It should probably have ended sooner, but I am happy with how they ended it. The only thing I wished for was one chapter more that showed some conclusion to the other characters, but this is fine also.

Gantz is brilliant, good art, first 100 chapters were golden. The ending occurred exactly as I anticipated, so wasn't disappointed.
It must suck to have been reading this for 13 years rofl, just started Gantz last year..
...
I hope there's an epilogue chapter for Gantz, or (even better) a Third Phase.

I guess he run out of idea of what to do. Maybe that is why we got this kind of rush ending. Lots of loose end but the ending is what I expected it will be. An OK I guess.

Cage of Eden had a worse ending, so this wasn't to much of a let down.
Did they ever explain how "Cherry" and his teacher got their ESP powers?

If the author goes on another manga in the same world (or a direct sequel), revealing answers about powers, vampires, etc, I will understand this ending as a break, which sounds good (it's not over) and sad (Hiatus x Hiatus / Berserk syndrome).
If the author simply threw all the mysteries away, "Blast it ! I shall not continue this !", then I don't know what to think about it. I mean, it's pretty odd, fast and unexpected, like endings I like most. However, it lacks a lot of what you'd expect from a long, epic series.

enjoyed the final chapter, kurono got tai and his friends back with his brother, typical happy ending but im fine with that.. 🙂
Now lets hope the Gantz universe is continued in a different characters prosfective
