umm... just a question coming from a biology student.... how is this supposed to stimulate protein folding in our bodies? I don't really get how this is biologically possible, because from what i read from the first post, it sounds as if you guys are trying to get your bodies to fold proteins faster by using unused U data... v4q6o

If you read carefully, you'll see it says SIMULATE. Not "stimulate". Simulate.

I have heard about it years ago, but never bothered to install. Well, since it doesn't use much power, why not ? 😛

Please tell me that you're joking... Folding@Home is not supposed to calculate anything in YOUR body. Folding@Home uses your computer's processing power to run mathematical calculations to research on how proteins fold. ed the program, installed completely and my status is stuck at Protein: Loading for several hours now. I do wonder whether there's something wrong or not.
