Have anyone mentioned Gintama as in current time? In general I would have to say DB. The 1st 30 volumes or so. At least the 1st 12.

My personal fav in current time would be either FMA or Naruto. Too bad Y Japan ended... 😀 😎

Death Note and GTO

Both are one of a kind and enjoyable in the different forms of media (manga, anime, live action)

There's quite a few great shounen titles but some of the very best would have to be

Kekkaishi
Eyeshield 21
Hajime No Ippo
Shaman King
Hunter X Hunter
Beck

Stuff like Naruto, Bleach, and Reborn are all great they just arent as consistently good as something like Beck.
