I'll leave out popular ones everyone has already know about like Cowboy Bebop and just include the ones I like that are less known about
1 Denno Coil (awesomely animated, somewhat reminds me of a cross between miyazaki and futuristic technology)
2 Kekkaishi (my favorite battle shonen anime)
3 Seirei no Moribito (my love for japanese historical anime, and fighting)
4 Haibane Renmei (its just so different)
5 Genshiken (the only slice of life that didn't gross me out with moe)
6 Kamichu! (also a slice of life, but with a lot of shinto, which is something I love)
7 Noien (my love for scifi)

Im looking for a anime with:

  1. At least a decent story, maybe a little drama
  2. some action, it can be light like cowboy bebob or a little more heavy like darker than black
  3. good soundtrack if possible, darker than black and champloo probably had some of my favorites
  4. has a realistic/mature feel to it, Im not saying that it has to be real, people can have powers and it can be taking place in a fantasy world, what im trying to say is people should be able to die with lost limbs (it doesnt have to be a gore fest like elfen lied or gantz) kinda of like how darker than black did it. mainly it just needs to be mature not with forced childish comic relief that isnt funny.

the anime doesnt have to be exactly like this list but similar
