This poll was suggested by our member Regnak. So what's your view on multiple authors working on the same series? (This does not count assistants as "authors"). Think of like CLAMP or something else 1ot57

Discuss this poll on our forums here:

If you wish to suggest poll ideas, go ahead and do so here:

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Main web browser
Choices:
Mozilla Firefox - votes: 11042 (66.9%)
Google Chrome - votes: 1600 (9.7%)
Internet Explorer 8 - votes: 1308 (7.9%)
Opera - votes: 1225 (7.4%)
Safari - votes: 559 (3.4%)
Internet Explorer 7 - votes: 490 (3%)
Internet Explorer 6 - votes: 108 (0.7%)
Internet Explorer 5 - votes: 30 (0.2%)
Other - votes: 149 (0.9%)
There were 16511 total votes.
The poll ended: January 30th 2010

Wow, just look at Firefox...I personally use Google Chrome though~

You should just replace all polls with either
A) Do you answer to polls?
B) Do you answer truthfully to polls?
at least then you would get answers that are closer to the truth.

It's great to have variations of how to do manga; only one way would just be boring -_-

I've seen good and bad works from all three of those choices, so there's really no correlation between how manga is written/drawn and the quality of the product.

i put that as well but i would like to point out there are artists who have done solo stories that are great then they get partnered with someone and then they never do a good series again. personally i think if someone works well alone, dont partner them up with a crappy writer. if they work well in pairs then its fine for them to do so.

Does that mean you believe people who answer the polls are not telling the truth about their main web browser, or not telling the truth about their opinion of the best way to do manga?

I hope this isn't too forward of me to ask, but if there were any inclinations from the results of the last poll, does that mean there's a chance modifications will be done to make MU more Mozilla-friendly? 😕

Isn't it already Firefox friendly?

I don't really care who work on a manga.
Some mangaka are really good in writing story and draw really well, some are only good at writing, another good at drawing.
So i choose "Don't care".
But i hate when it's multiple people, i mean when it's not always the same author and the same artist for 1 manga (and i think it's happen only in doujins, so i don't care that much xD)

Have you tried posting in the forums before?
Unlike other forum sites, the BBCode toolbar automatically wraps around your text for easy posting. However, this function only works for (as far as I know) Internet Explorer s here, and not Mozilla. They would have to slowly do it manually instead... 😐

personally, I like the one person drawing and one person writing combination. I mean, look at stories like Death Note. And personally, most of the bad manga I've read are by one person who draws and writes.

For multiple authors, it really depends. If you take Clamp for example, I really liked some of their older works, but TRC was really confusing and all the characters were stick people, although I'm not sure how much the multiple authors thing factored into that O_O.

Perhaps these authors only had one good idea and the addition of artist(s) more suited to produce whatever style is popular at the time was simply the publisher attempting to make the author's new (but lukewarm) ideas more marketable.

Can't say that I've really read that many manga that have multiple authors, but really as long as the result is good manga then I don't know that I care all that much how they make it.
