I'm looking for a romance where the girl is really kind and good hearted and always thinks of others before herself. 285wa
Belldandy is the perfect example if you've read or watched Ah! My Goddess.
The romance doesn't have to be the main plot, I'm okay if it's subtle and slow. Manga or anime doesn't matter.

Let's see...
Iris Zero - The main girl fits quite well what you're looking for. Romance is not the main
focus but has a good amount of space.
Ao no Futsumashi - The protagonist's love interest constantly tries to help and fit with the
others, but there's almost no romance in this action-oriented story.
One Week Friends - A really good natured girl, it's a romance but it doesn't focus on her
putting other people above everything, still it's the kind of person who
would do just that.
Koe no Katachi - The main girl is one of the most selfless characters you'll read about, and
the story is quite beautiful and heart-wrenching. Highly recommended.
Tonari no Kashiwagi-san - Another good-natured girl.
Note that all of these manga have a male lead as main character of the story, but they are all important to the story.
As for completed manga:
Double Arts - Another selfless girl, this time also the main character.
Magico (IWAMOTO Naoki) - Also devoted to think about others and not just herself.
Boku to Watashi no Henai Jijou - A rom-com with kind main characters.
Karin - The girl is the main character.
Ginen Shounen - Cheerful and good hearted girl.
And these are all I can think about at the moment! Hope it helps

Definitely Fruits Basket, if you haven't already read it.
The other one that stands out for me is Gantz. Note that the female lead is
not the girl who seems to be the love interest in the beginning - she's introduced later. .

Kimi ni Todoke I don't know if I'd say that she puts other people and everything above herself, but the main character is truly a good person. (Her motto is "One good deed a day" or something like that. XD)
