I got accepted into the closed beta for Fiesta yesterday and played it a bit today. It seems like it's going to be a bit better than the average free mmorpg. It just went live yesterday and I've only taken one character (archer) up to level 5 so far so I don't really know too much but it definitely looks promising.
Graphically it looks very nice; it has a cel-shaded cartoony look to it. Some animation seems a little off or just not implemented yet but that's expected in a beta. In the most crowded areas I didn't experience any lag at all, but that could change since there's probably a pretty light load on the server at the moment.
At level 4 or so it seems like the flood-gates opened on general quests so I've got plenty to do. There is also some kind of kingdom quest adventure thing that I've not yet gotten into. I'm not sure what it's all about yet but from the looks of the chat box it has the feel of a group raid kind of thing.
There looks to be some crafting as well and that's pretty cool since it seems like most free mmorpgs are pure grindfests. The guild system and PvP looks like its going to be pretty kickass too from what I've read. For now though, I think only non PvP server(s) are up.
It's like others in that it's totally free to and play, but the catch is there's a cash shop for extra cool crap. Hopefully the cash shop will be more for aesthetic and not balance breaking items so that free play leechers won't be trash on the side of the road compared to those that use the cash shop.

😀
But the graphic and in game interactions disappointed me........ 😔
Honestly, Fly For Fun is better.
Life, what would it be without so much wrongs and rights?

FlyFF has been out for years though. This game is just in it's infancy, I can see this being much better than FlyFF with some tweaks.

@Corallein: well yea usually I sleep during MC raid, because it's like we have been raiding MC for 6 month before even trying bwl. even after we finished bwl, and half aq, ppl in my guild still want to raid mc (only for that damned thunderfury, which I think overrated). and I play healer so during mc run set to follow other healer and it's fine 🙂
Dude, wtf are you still doing MC for? I mean the greens in Outlands are better than Tier 2 crap and there're quest blues that make Nef's gear look like freaking twill armor.

Past tense, buddy. Though I quit right before TBC release, I troll around my server's forums (and my guild's forums) enough to know that people will still run BWL/AQ/Naxx... though mostly just for kicks (and more AQ or Naxx and less BWL).
But yea, all of my priest's shiny AQ/Naxx purples are way below the level of TBC level 70 gear.

that was 2 years ago, and like I said I quit WoW in Feb this year, Outlands was pretty interesting, lving from 60-70 was too easy I did it in a week playing casually, I know there's some ppl who can make it in 2-3 days, anyway I just lost my interest so I quit.
I was the first shaman who crafted the weaponsmith 1h epic hammer in my server, still shaman is boring to play, there's nothing much to do except cast wf auto attack, once a while ES. Bloodlust with the proc from the hammer plus flurry is fun 😀

9dragons - another long description.... ---->Martial Arts Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game 9Dragons is set in Ancient China during the Ming Dynasty. During that era China was a lawless and dangerous place. Out of necessity, different fighting styles developed for defense. These styles were honed by each clan and became famous (e.g. Drunken Monkey or Praying Mantis). When you enter the world of 9Dragons you start off as a peasant and learn the basics of combat, how to harness your Chi, and some meditation skills you'll need for healing. Soon after, you will need to choose your Clan and begin learning their individual fighting style. In the training schools of each clan you will encounter masters who will fine tune your moves and help you develop combinations. There are also individual PvP arenas where you can test your style against others. Once you've learned some Kung Fu it will be safe for you to explore the world and begin your journey from Disciple to Master?learning the secrets of the lost 9 Dragons on what we hope will be many fortuitous encounters. CLANS Each clan has more than 400 unique martial arts styles and over 500 different items of martial arts weaponry. Some clans use unarmed combat while other focus on weapons mastery or even assasination! QUESTS Featuring more than 450 various quests, 9Dragons will be adding 20 to 40 quests per month. ANIMATION The animation uses cutting-edge Key-frame animation technology. Players can punch, kick, chop, spin or execute any of the moves they would see in a martial arts movie. MONSTER A.I. Mobs and monsters run away from superior players, chase inferior players or commit suicide when they get fatally wounded. Some monsters will change their appearance to deceive players. Some use transformation skill to get bigger and stronger

You can beat off opposition from tens of thousands of other players for the illustrious, extraordinary and unique position of being the game-world's ruler! I don't have a good videocard.
It's the kind that just comes with the computer and Direct 3D doesn't work with it for some reason.
So I rely on the mmorpgs that are browser based and etc.
What I recommend for browser based mmorpgs are:
http://www.kingdomofloathing.com
Kingdom of Loathing - Pretty entertaining for me. I took a really long break recently due to the fact I may have an addiction to it. The graphics aren't so good to other people, but the parodies and everything else makes up for it.
eg. The mist obscures her completely, before parting to reveal a hideous apparition. It's got more fangs and tentacles than an anime convention. You feel vaguely like a Japanese schoolgirl.
http://www.eternalwars.com
Eternal Wars - I give it a kudos for lasting so long. Heck, it's still incomplete.
This game is pretty.. interesting. I managed to play it for at least a month.
It's free to play, but the more you pay up, the better the game is.
To me, it's just not worth it to pay $1000+ to be a god/king.
http://www.popomundo.com
Popomundo - The last text based MMOrpg I'll recommend. Hahaha.
I'm still playing it. It's the type of game where you don't need to play it for the whole day. It's a rpg where you start off as a nobody talentless musician living with your mom. You compete with other players for fame, and to win the number one spot. There are 32 cities where you can start off with.
Of course, you can move elsewhere.
You don't chose your name for your character, which is sort of a con.
The game creates a list of names (first and last) for you based on your gender and city. They also give you a small description of who this character is and his/her's life and flaws.
eg. Mine's Liv Marit Jagland of Tromso. She's a homeschooler who's trying to quit smoking and was scarred whilst falling off a tricycle.
(I chose Tromso but never actually went there in real life xP)
It's pretty difficult too, you need to control your character's mood/happiness and health. If you don't, he/she might get sick or get sent to the hospital.
I don't feel like explaining anymore.. 🤢 Here's the wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popomundo
Oh yeah. Nationstates is great game too. Not really an MMORPG though.
Control your own nation/country and deal with issues.
I'm a dictator in mine. >: P (Not one that's evil though)

Perfect World... Check out the international wiki and forums. Its available in asian languages only but I think english translation plug-ins are able. Sorry guys but the full english version (PW Phil) is only available in the Philippines, foreign IPs blocked.

I've played Silk Road...got to almost level 60 I think? Loved it. Especially the people who play it.
But if you want PVP with no safe zones...try Eudemons online?
http://www.eudemonsonline.com/
The first two cities and grinding areas are the only areas where you can't pvp. Everywhere else is free game, though there ARE penalties if a person isn't under PVP or watch for PVP mode.
anyway I will be waiting for this
