This year's 52nd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Tuesday that author Muneyuki Kaneshiro and artist Akeji Fujimura's As the Gods Will: The Second Series (Kami-sama no Iu Toori Ni) manga will end in five chapters. The manga launched in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2013 after the original Kami-sama no Iu Toori manga ran in Kodansha's monthly Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from 2011 to 2012. Crunchyroll has been simultaneously publishing chapters online along with the Japanese release, and Kodansha Comics has been releasing the compiled volumes digitally.
The story of the original horror-survival manga begins when strange and frightening things start happening at Shun Takahata's high school. After his teacher is killed, he and his classmates must play horrifying games in order to avoid death.
Kami-sama no Iu Toori inspired a live-action film directed by Takashi Miike in 2014.
