I don't usually keep up with the currant season but this winter I decided: "Why not?" and now I'm pretty hooked on a couple shows. My fave at the moment would have to be Bodacious Space Pirates despite the misleading name it's a very well-made and well-written show! 6mm64

I started watching anime before reading manga. My first episode was that of Naruto, I was 14 years old at the time. Now I just turned 20 about 2 months ago and I've watched easily over 350 series since that time. But I'm so busy lately with work and other hobbies, such as gaming and sports, that I almost didn't watch anime at all these past 6 months.
Who says nothing is impossible? I've been doing nothing for years.

Overall I watch more anime now than in my younger years, but to counter that I'm much less open to new anime. I'm alot more picky about the quality of what I watch, so I won't usually pick up a new show unless it comes highly recommended. So I spend most of my anime time watching older shows (or new shows that belong to an old, well established series, like Gundam).

I used to watch anime a lot as a kid... I ed whatever I could even though I never finished it (e.g Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, etc., my 10 year old mind wasn't even aware of the plot lol) then I stopped liking anime altogether for a few years. The second year of high school came to an end and I picked up a few manga to read over the summer. From that point on I only watched anime that I loved when I was little (DBZ or Gundam Wing) or a certain two anime adaptations from my favourite shoujos aka Kimi ni Todoke and Bokura ga Ita. Of course neither are producing episodes now so back to manga for me. Manga wastes less bandwidth and is much quicker to read.
I almost never watch anime, only read manga, but i do watch animes from time to time if i somebody recommend them to me

In general, I guess I do watch more anime than I did compared to a few years ago. But, I don't exhibit the obsessive behavior of watching of any anime I could get my hands on. lol. I'm much more picky now on the quality of the anime before I watch it, the characters, the plot, the animation, the seiyu cast, etc. and I only watch current season anime now so I won't stay up the entire night trying to finish a series XD

i don't really watch anime because
-fillers (stop watching bleach because of this)
-hate dub
-sub(more focus on the words then the actions, which is why i watch anime)
-can't really keep my interest like manga can(i could spend the whole day reading manga but cant watch more then 3 episodes of a anime)
-if anime adapted from a manga the manga is ahead, and i will end up reading the manga then stop watching the anime
-if an anime adapted from a manga, the manga is usually better gos through more detail and ect.
-low budgets/bad animation (i know its not there fault but still)
-i can read through an anime faster then watching an anime.
faster to tell if a manga is crap then an anime.
but i still watch anime when I'm in the mood

I'm actually the opposite of most of you guys. I'm watching more anime and reading less manga than I did at this time last year.
Like many I started by watching anime and gradually finding out about manga. By 2009 my manga reading outstripped the number of anime titles I watched and the trend continued until recently. However, the wars between the online readers (whom I've always hated because I could see what was coming as soon as they appeared) and the scanlators have meant that many titles are now watermarked to varying degrees. To me a manga title is as much about the artwork as the story and I hate to see even scanlators now defacing their output. Bottom line is that I usually drop the watermarked stuff, so I'm reading an ever-shrinking pool of 'clean' titles. I've started picking up more anime to watch as a result, though to be honest I'd rather be reading.

No, but I read less manga cause it eat too much time and 1 anime episode can consist many manga chapers. So in about 4 hours I can complete 1 whole manga. 😁

I've basically stopped watching anime over the last few years save for the occasional, but rather rare, episode of One Piece I'll watch.

I jump over all the place. I read a lot of manga and watch a lot of anime. The only problem is there's more manga than anime and once you watch all the most popular ones trying to find the rare gems gets harder.

Me before I got a MU : About half and half with manga and anime
After I got MU : No anime, but craploads of manga

I used to watch anime a lot when I was younger.. LIKE A LOT. Then I started watching ones that aren't on TV. So I have to load or the anime. It really takes up too much time so I switched to manga. Manga also has the complete story. Since anime usually have a few arcs and after a few episodes it'll end with an unfinished story. So I really prefer manga now. but I'm still watching anime though not quite often..

I used to watch anime when I was a kid on TV... Then I think a year ago I tried to some anime and start watching it, but I just couldn't find anything really interesting so I kinda gave up.
So now it's just manga for me.
