Board Games!!! 3u5c5h
Hello friends! Wow it has been a very long time since I've made a thread. OwO;; 41512
A few of my favorite games to play are Exploding Kittens, Bananagrams and Sequence. My boyfriend gave me Catan, which I've wanted to learn but I haven't had the chance to get enough people to play it.. but I really want to learn how to play!
Some other enjoyable games:
-Sushi Go! - super fun, a quick game that's really easy to learn, and the cards are sooo cute!
-The Resistance: Avalon - like mafia, with a medieval setting. (I actually own The Resistance but haven't gotten the chance to play that either...)
-Dragoon - a really fun Kickstarter game! You play as a dragon!!! Easy to learn too.
-Arkham Horror - a little bit time consuming, but it has a really dark feel to it; based on H. P. Lovecraft characters/stories I believe. Takes a lot of luck to play and get through!
-Tokkaido - a super laid-back, sort of adventure game. Pretty art too!
Games that I want to play and are on my wish list!!!
-Betrayal At House On the Hill
-Love Letter
-King of Tokyo
-Pandemic
What are your favorite board games? What do you think are board games that need more attention? Any suggestions for me? 😀

I love board games. Board games are awesome. The most awesomest ones are Diplomacy, Monopoly, Candyland, Shoots and Ladders, and Settlers of Catan.

Betrayal at the haunted house on the hill is kind of fun... Cards against humanity and super fight are pretty okay. I love monopoly too...
But nothing beats a game of Uno

Besides the ones the first 2 posters have already listed, which are terrific (I've played most of them), here's some recommendations for other board/card games
Good party games that are easy to teach to new people:
Codenames
Superfight
Cards Against Humanity
If you like cooperative games (or 1 vs everyone else):

Space Alert
Shadows over Camelot
Forbidden Desert
Forbidden Island
Fury of Dracula
Battlestar Galactica
Dead of Winter
If you want an intro into tabletop gaming (such as Dungeons & Dragons) or something more RPG-like:
Mice and Mystics
Mage Knight
Euro-style:
Puerto Rico
Ticket to Ride
Lords of Waterdeep
Carcassonne
Free-for-all / Strategy
Red Dragon Inn
7 Wonders
Dominion
Machi Koro
Race for the Galaxy
Twilight Imperium
Mafia-like games:

An easy way to try out a bunch of new board games is to get Tabletop Simulator on Steam. If you wait for a sale, you could get it for $10 or less

I'm in the majority here! I love board games. Currently on my shelf i have:
Ticket to Ride
memoir 44
king of Tokyo
zombie dice( basically farkle)
Lords of vegas
Pandemic
No thanks!
Munchkin
Survive: escape from Atlantis
Carcassonne
The standards as well
I just picked up betrayal at the house on the hill and a second hand copy of Wallenstein, but I haven't played them yet. I also have schotten Totten and millennium blades on order.
For anyone curious to try some games there are sites like Yucata where you can try them. As well as table top simulator.

Amazing, I've never heard of the other board games people have already mentioned here. I'll certainly look them up soon. I'm out of the loop! 😲
My personal favorites:
- Mahjong
- Snake and Ladders
- Checkers
- Chess
- Scrabble
- Monopoly
- Reversi
Whether we fall by ambition, blood, or lust,
Like diamonds, we are cut with our own dust.
Another fun little game if you can find it is Can't stop. I think it's out of print at the moment, but it is a nice step up from trouble/sorry/ and similar family games.
I enjoy board games though I don't know a lot of people who play them personally so my games are mostly just gathering dust.
I've got:
Cards Games:
- Cards against Humanity
- Munchkins
- Gloom
- Cluedo
- Monopoly
Board Games:
- Game of Thrones
- Twilight Imperium
- Rune Wars
Other games I've tried are:
- Dixit
- Evolution
Heard good things about Cosmic Encounter so I'll probably get that one next.
Here is a picture of my games shelf for no real reason.
My collection has grown.
Recently I purchased Poop the Game and Letter Tycoon. Have yet to play either one. But yeah. Will get to it. Looking forward to Poop.
Also since my original post, I have played Catan and I love it. Me and my boyfriend's sister conspired against my boyfriend. It was very fun. I won.
